The only reality show winner I can remember getting places is Abhijeet Sawant so all due credit to him for that but he too wasn't favourite to win. The runners up in II1 got a LOT of offers and have sang in various movies.
The contestant I always support has never ever ever won as far as I can remember. Hell I even supported Yash-Gauri in NB! lol and sandhya in JDJ. Hussain won NB-I seriously love this guy but he was popular before anyway so it's not like the show helped boost his career in any sorta way. Prashant and sandeep weren't even called back as hosts, they've only ever done one song and maybe an album no-one has or ever will buy. Wanted HK to win JDJ, she too didn't win, it's all about the most 'presentable' and what not, never anything else which is actually a real shame. But if the pattern continues and the winner doesn't get places then I will indeed be glad that my fav's didn't win DID.
Janta will vote for you but it's the producers and directors that have to take you on board at the end of the day and if you're crap like most winners, no-one's gonna take you. This has been proved time and time again.
I guess the only show where winners live up to the hype is BW-the most fairest comp. on tv! The winners actually come back in the next series and are very successful choreographers, have opened their own dance institutes etc. I wish there were more shows like that!
