What was this contest all about

looking for the most talented dancer or the best packaged dancer with talent ?

Personally I was so upset after reading the results online and since i am in the west the show airs at night - i boycotted the show - could not bring myself to watch it - to see personality and package win over talent is not my idea of a good reality show - that has been great in most parts - who knows what the janta wants - they took a guy like mayuresh out in the beginning and then make someone who was similar to him and not as good as the winner

of all the reality shows that i have followed - i never seem to back the winner !! :) maybe my taste does not coincide with the rest of the junta !! that's the conculusion i have come to ...

I still feel Jai was the better dancer - maybe salman had humility and looks but in terms of talent definately not as much as Jai. he was v good make no mistake he would not be where he is if he wasn't good

but the title said India's best dancer not India's best packaged dancer

I guess they chose the best package !!

Beautiful comments. I totally agree.

I like Salman and his genteel manner. Even his dancing. But quite simply there were better people around. Perhaps from the not so upmarket or genteel suburbs of Mumbai or parts of India. But better dancers nevertheless.

My interest dropped dramatically after Vrushali and Mayuresh were out :(( Jai loosing was the final shock :(((

PS: What made me reply is that I totally understand your comment on backing the wrong person. I have the same experience. Who ever I like never seems to win hahahah.a Perhaps I am not conditined to think like the junta :( and cannot blow away my parents hard earned money on multiple votes.

i guess it was all about india's best packaged dancer

(even mithun da admitted this in one epi)

jai is india's best dancer, but if janta's thinking india's packaged dancer-than the result is obviously salman- he's got looks, body, personality, courage and humanity. best dancer.....hmm....bleh.

I have a similar issue. Be it any dancing or singing show, I have never supported the winner. I've always noticed the most talented person does not win, either the most popular or well packaged person wins.

Same here with MOI...My picks like Nihira, Hemu, Karu, Amey, Amanat, Amey, Abhas and Ali abbas none of them won the title....EIther someone's drama, Regional bias or popularity got them more votes and became the winner.....So I am used to it...

Have u also noticed how the person who does not win, but is the best and talented is the one who actually gets more opportunities. Some of ur above mentioned names have got more offers then the winner itself.

Yeah...completely agree! After all the hype of DID is over, that is the REAL test. Honestly, it isn't the janta that is gonna hand out these jobs. It's gonna be professionals that know dance, inside and out, that will be giving these dancing jobs. People who are talented do not need to win a competition. These reality shows are good for exposure. Everything else will fall into place.

I agree I also believe that Jai should have been the best dancer. I was a huge Salman Fan in the beginning but I wanted to see something different not just stunts. I have been shocked since yesterday and the only thing thats on my mind is how Jai was least voted. He deserved it but i guess The Best Dancer in the worlds eyes won. I still feel as if Jai was better but i know nothings gonna change now😭
