Is voting fair, or unfair?

- People might get judgemental when it comes to voting. There are many people in our country who are biased, and will vote only to a contestant of their own caste/religion.

- Gender bias is still a big issue. You can see how Alisha is the only female contestant left over. :(

- By voting from your cellphone, you're only wasting time and money- you get back nothing profitable.

- On the other hand, voting involves active participation of the viewer, so that the winner can be assured of public support.

What do you think?

*Edit- Voting also renders the judge's score quite useless; imagine a contestant who has received low scores who has received a lot of votes from the janta.

I never wanted Mayuresh to leave, I felt ever-so-bad when he pointed to Jai and said "Janta sahi talent ko aage leke jaa rahi hai". Not that I don't like Jai, but Mayuresh could have been in the top 5 instead of Siddhesh, or Sunita.

Yup... its very unfair..
it should be like America's next top model.. where only the judges can decide who wins..
but I understand why are they doing this, the show needs to get money from the txting too na?

Here's the thing, there are many factors in the voting. But it's the janta that brings the success to the participants. If the janta doesn't want to watch you, then your talent is of no use. And I don't think we could all agree on judges that would be "unbiased". And if we left it to the judges, the top 4 would have at least two or three girls whether or not they deserve it.

btw, there's not gender bias so please stop bringing it up.

bias exists; there's nothing we can do about it.

I think voting is fair to an extent....provided people vote only on the basis of dance and talent and not overall physique/looks/ gender etc. I think it is a good idea to have audience votes as you said it does involve active participation of the viewer. Also, judges can be biased towards their own team as well, and Mithunda may not have the most dance knowledge and background to judge appropriately. So I do think judgement from an external source such as the audience is helpful. But of course in reality shows, audience is bound to vote on other factors besides dance which is unfortunate. If the audience were to vote on the basis of dance, then yes I do think voting is fair and a good idea in DID and other reality shows.

I agree with you, esp. the bolded part.

@chutney

What you say is quite right, I laugh at him so hard in each episode. His English sucks. "I was bleeding profusely absolutely" "terrific terrific jai top class" "I'm totally shocked absolutely" <- Lmao.

Well, I don't think there isn't anything that we can do about gender bias. We can bring a change to our country.

And you're right cute2stay, I agree with the bolded part as well. I wish the judges didn't give their own team members more marks just because they "know how hard their bachcha had to work".
