Why do most Indian soaps go haywire?

It really saddens to me to see Indian soaps that start of great and eventually go haywire. These creatives really know how to spoil a good thing. From killing off main characters, to plastic surgery to reincarnations to look alikes.

Reminiscent of two great soaps that went awry which were 1. Sindoor Tere Naam Ka and 2. Kasamh Se Dulhann has taken this dreadful step. From the deaths of Sagar and Vidya to the whole reincarnation sequence with Amar and Divya and basically going back to square one with the storylines, with Sindoora at the top and Amar and Divya having to re discover Sindoora's evilness.

These creatives need some serious help on how to write good storylines. Dulhann was so great before with Sagar and Vidya and the old cast, I never missed and episode but when Sagar and Vidya died and the show still continued, my interest in the show died as well. It's only as of late, due to boredom, I have a slight interest in it again only because it is coming to an end.

Also they really need to tone down the reincarnations and look alikes in Indian shows as it is getting really boring now.

I would love to hear what the rest of you on IF have to say on this topic.

Nice topic!

I think its due to the fact that they have GREAT ideas for the first few months (especially Ekta shows) because they've only thought that far. They don't have the ability to think ahead and think of new ideas. With Dulhann, every single person related to that show became too big for their boots. So what if it became No.1? Its tougher sustaining that postion than actually getting there. Actions speak louder than words and I think the lack of unity between the cast and crew ruined everything.

With Dulhann, every single person related to that show became too big for their boots".....thats true...that was exactly what happen with Dulhann, someone told me
