How about Kasak, Kali or Dweep for a baby girl? What about Kavya, Shlok or Drone if it's a little boy? Whatever may be her faults, and however bizarre her storylines, when it comes to names, Queen Ekta knows how to hand them out.
Speaking of Kavya, Balaji Telefilms Kkavyanjali (Star Plus) has all of a sudden perked up, thanks to the new hero. Drowsy-eyed Rakshak Sawhney has been replaced by Eijaz Khan, and it's undeniably one of Ekta Kapoor's better moves. Good looking and expressive, Eijaz has evolved into one of the most watchable actors on the tube. Now if only Miss Kapoor would get rid of heroine Natassha who plays Anjali. An irritating little thing with no great talent, there's something inordinately off-putting about that petulant face and screechy voice. And when she's trying to be cute, it's worse. But Natassha happens to be one of Ekta's ewe lambs so there's not much hope of wishing her away. The brightest spot of the serial, undoubtedly, is Amrita Singh. She looks lovely, dresses well and her acting abilities have never been in doubt.
