I found Jai's performance risky, and it didn't even look like a dance.
What's going on with this show's producers? They're either giving bizarre stunts or soft-po*n-like dances! It's very strange. Kya India me aur achcha dance nahi baccha hai?
And what's with those episodes where they guys are always clutching the middle part of their pants? Theek hai, it's a MTV style thing but it looks vulgar.
And also, I'm just sick of these circus style stunts. Whether it is matkaa phorna or flying around the darned room hanging from ropes. Neither is this the Great Indian Potbreaking Show nor is it the Great Indian Bungee Show...
Yes, I agree, some stunts are required to make the dance look good. But there's a limit. You can't make a circus rink act out of a dance show... if we wanted to see a circus, we could have bought tickets to one.
To be very honest, I'm not a huge fan of Prince. But his tissue paper dance was much better in terms of stunt value than Jai's bungee-ing around the place. That tissue could have ripped and wrecked Prince's chances altogether. But he combined effortless grace, and a successful "stunt" to give a captivating performance. And best of all, it was actually a dance, not a clown act.
