I Strongly feel that this DID should have been for boys and the next season for girls. its true that there wont be any chemistry between girl and boy. but its fine . atleast the best contestant will be only from boy this time and a girl the next time. because both are equally good. one getting eliminated because of the vote does nt justify 😊

Ya I think they should have like one boy and one girl winner. Cuz both have different potentials and styles of dancing. So it would be fair to choose one dancer from each gender. That way the audience won't get confused into voting as well. But some of the girls such as Sunita are worse than all of the boys so it doesn't seem fair for guys like Mayuresh to be out and Sunita to stay just because of the gender bias and the "no more girls should be voted out". I agree with you on the gender bias and the voting part but I think a show would only boys or only girls would be quite boring to watch. At least for me it would. Nice post though :)

Or they could just do voting for girls and boys separately. Even though it doesn't always seem fair when the boys are usually better, it still is the best way. I think So You Think You Can Dance eliminates one boy and one girl every week. I might be wrong.

^^^^^^^^ That is because SYTYCD has made couples as teams.

@Topic
I understand your points as to why they should do that but Isnt this Equality of opportunity all about , equal footing, equal parameters to judge them . Eliminating a guy when a girl clearly is getting less votes , Isnt that discriminaton on basis of sex too?

When a show loses a better constestant in favour of worse ones, simply because the better got less votes, we accept it. We complain and express disappointment but ultimately accept it. So why is a girl who is better than a boy getting less votes such a huge issue when the same case with a boy who is better than another boy is not

As long as they want to decide the winner through audience votes, we have to deal with it.

IMPO, it would be ethically wrong to give girls special treatment simply because audience didnt.

At the moment the only girl on par and better with some guys is Alisha and she is staying. Can u honestly say Rakhee, Khushboo, Sunita are even at par with most good male contestants on show? Only deserving female who didnt go at the right time was Vrushali and Bhawna (but she should have gone after Khushboo anyway)

I agree with you. It is def. not fair for a guy to be eliminated just because he's a guy and too many girls have been voted out already. I agree that except for Alisha all of the other girls do not compare to the guys. And perhaps the only reason Mayuresh is going out this week and not Sunita may be due to Mithunda saying please don't vote out girls and the audience reflecting on that. And that is def. not fair.
Which is why I think it's better to have one girl and one guy winner. I admit that times are changed now and we demand equality between males and females but it is true that the two sexes have different styles and ways of dancing. This certainly does not generalize to all girls or boys but girls dance more gracefully and usually participate in different styles of dancing than guys. So it would not be fair to judge that together IMO. Just because a girl doesn't do stunts all the time does not mean that she is a worse dancer than a guy. I think Vrushali was an excellent dancer even though she did not perform any stunts. She danced so gracefully and with all the right expressions that you actually felt something after watching her dance. I think she could def. compare with the boys IMO.
Guys and girls (mostly), have different styles of dancing so I do think there should be one guy and one girl winner and then the audience would not be biased also in terms of voting. Anyways just my opinion.
In terms of DID, I think there will be a guy winner and I do think that's fair because most of the guys are better dancers than most of the girls left in the show.
