Highlights : Phooli's wedding preparations begin, against her will
Jagya's family plans a surprise party for him and Anandi
Bhairav is in the field getting some work done. Phooli's father comes there and requests him to give him a loan for Rs.10000. He doesn't tell him the real reason and lies that he needs it to repay another loan. Bhairav readily agrees to give him the money and takes him to the bank.
At night, Bhairav and Sumitra plan the guest list for Anandi and Jagya's surprise party. Suguna comes there and asks for some money to buy a make up kit for Anandi. Bhairav offers to take her along to the market the next day.
In the morning, Phooli's parents start buying stuff for the wedding. Phooli is about to go to school. Her mother stops her telling her that she need not study anymore, her wedding has been fixed. Phooli doesn't like this and tells her mother that she wants to study. Her mother tells her that getting her married was the only way to make her life better, but Phooli doesn't listen. Phooli's mother gets irritated. She locks Phooli in the room and tells her that she will be let out only on her wedding day. Phooli is left crying and begging her mother to let her go.
At the haveli, Badi maasi, Suguna and Bhairav get ready to go to the market. Anandi and Jagya feel like going, but Badi maasi refuses to take them. Everyone keeps smiling at them, even daadisa. The children are confused. Suguna returns from the market with loads of stuff. Anandi insists that she show her everything, but Suguna drags her away saying it was not important. Down in the hall, the adults continue to prepare for the party. Badi maasi takes Anandi and Jagya away on the pretext of telling them stories. Everyone, including daadisa happily start decorating the house. Meanwhile, Phooli is still locked in her room crying. She hopes that Anandi can somehow save her.
In the morning, Sumitra and Suguna wake up Anandi and Jagya and take them out to the hall with their eyes closed. When the kids finally open their eyes, they see that the haveli has been made up with decorations. Everyone wishes them a happy anniversary. The kids are happy. (Although, the meaning of wedding anniversary seem to be lost on them..they are just happy abt the party)
Preview : The anniversary celebrations go on in the haveli. Phooli's mother dresses her up. Phooli tells her that she doesn't want to get married, but her mother tells her its for her own good.....
