Reality bytes scare Shilpa

Shilpa Shukla has not been consistent in her performance on Jhalak. But she blames it on the reality footage of rehearsals and fights aired during the show that affect her concentration.

Shilpa concedes that she is comfortable with dancing on a competitive stage but can't handle the pressure built through reality bites. "The core reason behind everyone doing the show is dance and not the reality aspect that's recorded on camera and played out either before or after each performance. I don't understand why they build up stories about fights, arguments and people crying. May be viewers like to see such stuff," she regrets.

Ask her whether the reality bites are manipulated and she says, "To me it's all a mystery because it's not the entire truth but adulterated to some extent," she adds. Elaborating, "You got to be cautious about what you are doing. I am a private person and don't like to open up on camera."

However, Shilpa is confident of dancing skills. "I have the potential to reach the finals. But you can't predict audience votes, which decide who will stay in the competition," she sighs.
