Mumbai: It's been over a decade since she interrupted her Bollywood reign to start a family with Boney Kapoor and despite the long hiatus and two daughters, Sridevi perhaps looks even more statuesque today than she did, even in her hey day.
"When I was working, I hardly had time to follow any elaborate exercise regime. So I'd make do with occassional longs walks and keeping a watch on my diet," she says, talking to After Hrs in the middle of a yoga session with her personal trainer Manish Tiwari.
Though she's been practicing yoga for almost five years now, there's clearly more to it now than just keeping her in good health. There's word that after Madhuri, it's now Sridevi's turn to stage a comeback. And while she doesn't deny it, she isn't ready to divulge any details about the project just yet. "Perhaps I'll be ready to talk about it in a month or so," she promises. So it is on.
While she's looking toned enough to give the younger lot of heroines a run for their money even today, the four-time best actress award winner is generous with her praise for their looks and talent. "They're all so fit these days," she marvels. "Look at Kareena, Priyanka, Bipasha, Deepika -- they're such a treat to watch. Earlier it used to be just the hero who'd probably do a bit of treadmill and weights. But now everyone is so much more health conscious."
Her daughters too have also taken to regular yoga, but what we're curious to know is whether Boney has been inspired in this direction. Sridevi sighs indulgently. "We're all waiting for that dream to come true..."
