Shreyas Talpade & Daisy Shah - in Palaash Muchhal s movie.
Kdmhmd Vs Bidai
Its basically Ekta kapoor vs Ranjan shahi. Ekta the queen of soap operas from nearly half a decade and Ranjan Shahi the new kid on the block. Ranjan seems to be carying the same old formulas of Ekta and some inspired titbits from Rajshri movies. Ekta on the other hand was a pioneer of a sort by introducing these ghisa pita soap operas to our indian television. Although Ekta has also been inspired from many of movies of his pal kjo and others. But this gal started it all! 😃Coming back to the shows Kis desh mein hai mera dil is a love story! Shot it pitureque punjab and Bidai is a show about two sisters and their struggles. So which show you guyz prefer watching as a viewer! Which is more interesting for young people and people of other demographics? Which show is liked more by Nri's? Which show is more socially relevent?I hope to hear from both sides lets see who comes up with a better argument.
I think that Balaji produced the coolest shows on indian televison history. She single handly changed the map of india tv. Once Srk said in an international film festival that india only has bollywood stars and no other stars. But Ekta proved him wrong she gave televison its own stars. There are atlest thousands of people who owe their career to her. She gave chances to youngsters and introduced a new breed of tv shows. The production value of her shows incompariable to any of the shows ever seen on tv. She gave viewers better production value then even bollywood movies. At one time of her reign tv industry made more money than bollywood. The costume designing, stories, the background music the acting everything in her shows had high standards. The women in her shows rocked! Even though they married more than once , but they were potrayed to be very strong and independent.
Is it Bidayee vs. KDMHMD, or Ekta vs. Rajan Shahi?😕
Well to begin with whatever Ekta Kapoor had supposedly achieved in the past holds no water in my honest opinion and as to what she's doing nowadays........oh yeah I have a bunch of 'un speculated' comments about that!!......... I have to concur that the single accomplishment she's ever made as director till date is that of being a multi-millionaire screwed up business minded woman..........and all what she cares for is power, fame and money........Most of her serials from day one have singularly reflected her obdurate and petty mind set be it at the earlier stage or at the end of the day..........each and every story line boils down to the same thing! Absolute distorted and impossible situations and circumstances with not even the slightest connection to common sense.......reality here is a far cry!!.
Ekat's serial dramas are too utterly saturated with twisted and weird scenarios which definitely leave me all flailed and disgusted!.....I used to watch her serials'once upon a time( KSBKBT was a total novel , a clean break from the dreary old serials ........well!that's what I thought at that time...(I saw Kora Kagaz long time ago and though I was very young at that time, it's simplicity and meaningful storyline has recently sunk in my mind with such impact that I still rate this one as the best in my list of good serials!).....so I guess I was temporarily blinded by the glitz and glamour associated with Ekta's show.......an altogether different innovation as opposed to the quality of direction in terms of angles, shots and of course all the new trendy looks of the actors.......'Thank God! my senses were strong enough to repel such unbearable and constant bludgeoning of my intelligence and rocked me back with a wham to consciousness!!......it was like WTH was I doing!!!......so now whenever I happen to see her show, I am always ready to roll over my eyes at her sheer idiocy for the lack of a better word at the way she lorded herself as the 'brain' or should I rather say the dim witted entity behind the camera lens with the sole purpose of zooming all senses out of focus!!!...........
If ever I have to start comparing Bidaai to KDMHMD, I wouldn't be able to end my praises for Bidaai and likewise my severe and wrathful criticisms for the latter!....so firstly, what's the core concept of KDMHMD??!....Anybody care to enlighten me on that???!...definitely nothing to do with the title'.. anyways,I don't even want to know and it's the least of my concern!.....secondly what's the message we are getting from that serial? Ok may be message is not important to some ....so thirdly any new interesting angle in that show?........may be the main leads or the long string of young actors dangling on Ekat's finger?.....Alright, I'll concede a bit here for viewers of a certain age range about the youthful asset since the pleasure derived for the eyes may suffice for most but not for all.......and anything else?!....I have no desire to delve more deeply in the acuity and intricacies of the relationships among the protagonists as per their character sketching linked to the storyline since KDMHD has no basis whatsoever in that perspective in contrast to Bidaai ....for which if I get started, I'll never be able to end.....
In this day and world , where money is realistically the focal point, Rajan Shahi being the true businessman that he is, has conceded the fact that as a director he should give fair credit to the audience intelligence.........and albeit for some couple instances in his directorial skills, I have no complaints whatsoever regarding his visions and thoughts when he adequately used them as his tools of work.....and his end products ultimately are Bidaai and YRKH..these serials may not be perfect in their execution in terns of consistencies or may not even see eye to eye with various POVs of the massively varied audiences across the globe( afterall he's human too and is allowed to err but not to drift away from your own conscientious mind!......and if or when he does, I'll for one grill him with my barbed criticisms......but hope I'll never see that day!)
On the other hand, Ekat Kapoor who may be the pioneer in Indian serials , she has somehow successfully managed to carve the way to doomsday for herself and that too single-handedly.....she who never cared two hoots for anybody's reactions or opinions about her senseless soaps is now forced to take second backseat and give way to other more capable and witty directors with a grain of common sense and humility in the now ever thriving TV business industry !......Lady! you could have made your mark here had you been a degree smarter in your pursuance of your goals (not to mention greed!)..... and please note that I don't look her down as a woman but as a human being!...she is being treated on equal grounds as her male counterparts in similar fields....'
.....but one thing she does excel at.....refraining most of her central characters from putting their talents and acts together in the most constructive and beautiful way had they been given a chance to prove themselves in the first place!....
So anyone who comes forward and proclaims that Ekta kapoor is a better director or her creations are better.......well then he/she badly needs to have his/her brain examined or rather take a real good look around before formulating such foolhardy opinion!...scores of directors are out there with much clearer far-sightedness......a sure way not merely to achieve but maintain success!.....So far I can see only Rajan Shahi who fits the bill!...
....barring the possibility of a sudden 'brain failiure'!.....😉
