About Santu being indifferent - what can she do? She knows all this is a pretense and show to impress Rasik-Meghna. She has already cried her heart out to Champakali and told her how she hates it. At the moment she is a puppet and the Mahyavanshis are pulling all the strings and making her dance to their wishes. And, therefore her indifference is justified.

What else is Santo supposed to do? I am happy that she's not all over DM .. with her emotions and devotion .. she's making it very clear that she implies it is all FAKE .. she's not longing ...

I think the reason Santo talked back to DM (and I LOVED her for talking back) was because after she broke down in front of Champakali about the dikhawa, she became angry.

She has realized that now she is not going to let people play around with her life. She will stand up for what she thinks is right! It is ridiculous that she is expected to live her whole life with a man who is in serious denial, talks to a portrait and is always finding fault with her.
