OH MY GOD! This was the episode of all episodes. Seriously it should be called the baap of episodes. For those of you who don't have access to Star one, I seriously pity you. I sincerely pray that someone can post the video of this episode, so I can save it and replay it over and over and over again!
I swear I was a zombie the whole time, I couldn't take my eyes off the TV screen. Well here it comes guys.
Chandini is happily walking when she meets Prashanth who congratulates her and says great job chandini. But she ignores him and walks past him.
She then goes to Kamini maam's room with the same lovely smile on her face and puts down the resignation letter on the desk. Kamini, thinking she hasn't cracked the deal, sarcastically asks her, kya tumhara call centre ka bhoot utar gaya hai ( has your bhoot of call centre come down ). Chandini says, I have done it maam. I have cracked the deal. Kamini is stunned and glares at her with an angry face. She says My foot. Don't think you have done India calling a favour by cracking this deal. Now get back to work. Chandini smiles at her, says thank you maam and walks out of the room.
Tyson ( who witnessed Chandini cracking the deal ) comes inside the room and tells Kamini. How Chandini cracked the deal is very interesting and I can tell you about it.
Next we see the back profile of a girl dressed in a smart black slinky dress to her knees who comes sashaying into the office. Smitha is excited to see her and shouts out, Hi Amy. This is Amy, or rather Esha Manchandani, the new character. Varun also comes up to her and asks her how her trip to Bangkok was. Amy replies it was just great. She proceeds to tell the two how she did nakhras on the plane and therefore they gave her a free stopover trip to Dubai. The others are impressed with her story.
Amy then catches sight of Chandini who is walking dazed with a happy smile on her face. Curious she asks Smitha who she is. Smitha says it is the new recruit, Chandini. Amy says, oh it is that Chandini whom you talked about on the phone. I cannot believe that she is the one to take panga with Adi. Smitha then tells Amy that she is lucky she was out of town, otherwise even she would have been dragged into the kabbadi match. But Amy is impressed with Chandini's attitude. Amy then decides to play a prank on Chandini. In a haughty tone, she calls Chandini. Confused, Chandini comes up. Amy asks her who she is. Chandini tells her name, saying she just joined last week and puts out her hand. Amy ignores it and tells her, oh you are that Chandini jisne poore India calling ko hila diya hai. She then commands Chandini. Go and call Kamini. Tell her it is Amy calling. Chandini is surprised. Varun then tells her that Amy is the boss of Kamini maam. She was out on vacation therefore you havent seen her. Chandini then tells her that she will go and turns her back when the other 3 burst out laughing and she comes to a stop. Amy then says they were having fun and puts out her hand in friendship. Chandini takes it.
Just then Kamini storms into the room. She is furious with Chandini for breaking the rules of India calling and revealing her name. She tells Chandini that you have to leave your poor chawl attitude behind and assume the character of Cathy. I had made the rules very clear on the first day itself. Adi's voice then cuts into the conversation. He is standing with Vishesh and says, Babs, Chandini is right in what she did. Everybody stares at him stunned. He continues and says that Chandini was cool in using her real name. She taught us to be proud that we are Indians. Kamini angrily retorts that the rules were made by her and nobody should interfere in them. Adi stares at her surprised when Vishesh says, Relax Kamini. Adi is a part of India Calling and he should be allowed to voice his opinion. He congratulates Chandini for a good job and tells that whatever pleases the client, is acceptable. He then proceeds to change the rules and announces that everybody should from now on use their own names. He asks Tyson to post a notice putting this rule to effect. Kamini in anger walks out of the room.
Then ADI WALKS UP TO CHANDINI AND SAYS, Congrats Chandini. I know you delibrately lost the match. Therefore the congrats should go to the deserving person. Chandini just looks at him and is turning away when he looks at her with his puppy dog expression ( I swooned girls, I swear! ) and says, I am sorry Chandini for whatever I have done. And walks away. Varun, Smitha, Amy and Chandini are staring in shock.
Next scene opens in the canteen. The 3 girls ( Amy, Smitha and Chandini are ordering their food ) when Amy asks the waiter to put it on credit. Chandini tells her the same goes on in the lala shop in Jalandhar. Amy informs her that the same credit system works, whether in Jalandhar or Mumbai. Chandini then catches sight of Amy's stylish handset and wishes that even she had a personal phone so that she could speak to her Beeji whenever she wanted. Amy lets her use her phone, but when Chandini dials it, the operator's voice comes saying that the phone is disconnected due to non payment of bills. She tells it to Amy, but chalu Amy calls customer service and tells them that she has paid the money that morning by cheque. She takes out a letter and proceeds to tell the pin number of a city as the cheque number! Chandini and Smitha are staring at her surprised. Chandini then remarks that Amy goes abroad on holidays, wears designer clothes and shoes and wonders at the salary that Amy might be earning. Amy then tells Chandini that it is not the number of zeroes on the salary, but the attitude which counts and tells that even I can teach you.
She then asks Chandini to go and order something to eat, otherwise she has to stay hungry the whole night. Chandini goes up to the counter and is reaching for a plate when simultaneously another hand reaches for it. It belongs to Adi! Both are staring at each other and holding the plate together. Adi smiles at Chandini ( I swear girls, his smile will kill me one day! ) and lets go of the plate! Chandini just looks at him and walks back to her seat. Varun then teasingly tells Adi, oh what a qurbani! Adi says, Dude I'm trying.
Then a girl holding a platter of christmas cakes comes up to Adi and Varun wishing them a merry christmas. She then goes to Chandini, Smitha and Amy and offers them the cakes singing Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells. Chandini then sings with her the rest of the song and then the everybody in the canteen joins in. Adi turns around at the sound of Chandini singing happily and smiles. Smitha is staring at Chandini with a funny look when Chandini teasingly tells her that even in Jalandhar they sing Christmas carols.
Varun then has a suggestion that everybody play Dum sherades. Amy wants it to be boys versus girls. Chandini and Adi are sitting on opposite sides and Adi is going on smiling at her ( my poor heart! ). The first one is Amy and the girls guess correctly. Then it is Varun's turn and his team guesses the correct answer which is Bluffmaster. Then Adi whispers something to Varun who whispers to Amy. Amy enacts the film and Chandini correctly guesses it as 'Mujhse Dosti karoge!' She shyly looks at Adi who is smiling at her teasingly. Then she whispers a film to Varun and his team guesses it as Kal Ho Na Ho. Tyson then interrupts the Dum sherades saying he has an important news which he has to announce on behalf of Vishesh. Everbody is surprised at the announcement.
End of episode: I think this turned out to be more of a book than an update! But I was really happy to see everybody getting on so well with each other.
Preview of next episode: Vishesh tells everybody that they have to sell 1000 holiday packages in a week. Some say it is impossible but Vishesh says that impossible really means ( I m possible ). He then tells that there will be 2 team leaders selected for this project.
It is my wild guess, but who knows the team leaders could be Chandini and Adi which will get them both to interact on a closer level! đ What say guys??? đđ
