Ramsay's son debuts in Family
Rajkumar Santoshi's Family is to hit theatres next week. Produced by Keshu Ramsay, the film marks the debut of Ramsay's son Aryeman. Though the filmmakers have been screaming hoarse that there's no glorification of Aryeman's character, the buzz in the trade circles is that the entire responsibility of the film rests on young Aryeman's shoulders. It is he who plays the actual hero in the film with Akshay Kumar taking a backseat for a change.
When asked about this, Aryeman admits that he is the hero of the film. "But so are Bachchanji and Akshay Kumar. Rajkumar Santoshi's focus has been the story of the film. He has not given any importance to a particular character. If you are specifically asking me who the hero of the film is then I would say it is Bachchanji.
Yes, Amitabh Bachchan plays the role of an underworld don in the film but his character goes through a transformation. It turns from negative to positive," he says. There's more to this young lad who is making his debut next week. A close source revealed that Aryeman had had a colourful past and was going around with a top actress once upon a time. "It's true but we had to call off our relationship due to differences between us. Maybe it was infatuation," he says.
