Gurdeep ji was indeed brilliant as Bani Walia - absolute class 👏
In the last 10 months of the show, along with Ashwini ji, I think she pretty much carried the show with her power packed performance... she consistently delivered great scenes day, after day 👍🏼
Towards the end of KS' run, the Rishi-Ganga tracks definitely did help, but before that, I think it it was pretty much all Gurdeep ji... she was awesome!
Gurdeep ji did what I felt was impossible - she actually made me become a fan of the Bani character! I've always liked strong and tough characters - ones that are willing to put up a fight, instead of folding and breaking down... and that is why I absolutely loved Gudeep ji's Bani - because the fighting spirit that she gave the character 👏
Once Gurdeep ji got going, I no longer saw Bani as a tragedy... and that probably was the case with a lot of the viewers in India, seeing as Gurdeep ji found acceptance in the role of Bani Walia 👍🏼
I remember what happened with Karam Apna Apna, when Mr Iqbal Khan left... the audiences found it tough to accept the replacement, and the TRPs dropped so much that the show had to be taken outta the prime time slot. However, nothing of the sort happened with Gurdeep ji... therefore, she did brilliantly 👏
