No FF nominations for Welcome to Sajjanpur?

Wasn't this movie release last year? It was such a good movie... How come there were 0 nominations for this film?
I think it definitely deserved to be nominated...

i agree.. they should have some nominations.. and i can't believe A Wednesday didn't win any awards at all..!

sad it got over looked mindless films like oye lucky lucky oye won awards,even i thought it was a great movie after all it is a shyam benegal movie,its bound to be one.

Amritas films always miss out ...welcome to sajjanpur was good and it did award some nominations.

Absolutely... It was such a fun movie to watch... different that all the "race", Golmaals, YR' Chopra and KJo's movies.....

Well,its a known fact that unless u have some sort of source or u r a big star(controversies,boyfrends,etc.), ur film is not gonna get any nomination,forget winning the awards.

I absolutely agree anf glad that some1 raised this topic.I mean Wednesday and Sajjanpur were 2 few of the best films of 2008.The Best film critic award shud have gone to Wednesday,I mean who has seen Mumbai meri jaan and best dialogues to Oye lucky?Dialogues of sajjanpur were far better than Oye lucky and both the films(wed,sajj.)were films with social message.

They shud have atleast respected Shyam benegal.Atleast in other awards(screen,stardust) they were nominated and also won some of the awards but this filmfare is really after big names.

I guarantee u if there were Kareena or karisma or khan associated with these films,it wud have won National award.

I feel really sad about Sajjanpur and their actors.Such a beautiful film and absolutely sidelined and ignored.Both Shreyas and amrita did so much better work than others.

I'll have to agree! I was so shocked to see Oye Lucky Lucky Oye and Mumbai Meri Jaan win so many awards, but NONE AT ALL for Welcome to Sajjanpur and A Wednesday. Amrita should have been nominated for BA. A Wednesday should have won a few awards, at least best film..

I have not seen Oye L O... but did watch Mumbai Meri Jaan... Its a good movie but too sl...ow and could have had better editing. It should have been a 1-1&1/2 hr movie. I think Wednesday was much better than MMJ.

and Welcome to Sajjanpur had great dialogues!! People have forgotten shuddhha hindi.... That movie deserved some award....You are right.. if it had SRK or Aamir playing role of letter writer... it would have gotten awards... And it was a big hit too!! Really sad...
