Highlights : Pratap's body is set afire on the funeral pyre
Suguna is "made a widow"
The men take Pratap's body into the bus. All his family members get into the bus and sit crying. Bhairav, Basanth, Khajan, Madhav and Gehna's father follow the bus in a jeep.
Bhagwati comes to Suguna who is sitting like a zombie in her room. She tells her that Daadisa is calling her. Suguna doesn't react. Bhagwati nudges her and practically carries her downstairs.
In the cemetery, all men stand around the body and the rites are performed one by one. On the other side, Suguna is made to sit in front of everyone in the hall. Bhavri comes there and sadly starts removing all of Suguna's jewellery. All the women cry. Suguna doesn' react and sits like a statue. The logs are laid over Pratap's body.
Bhavri is about to remove the chain that Pratap gave Suguna. Suguna holds on to it and refuses to let go. Daadisa comes to her and tells her to let go since colors have no role in her life anymore. Suguna still refuses to give. Daadisa weeps bitterly and tells her that she is helpless to change Suguna's fate. She forcefully removes the chain from Suguna. Suguna starts to cry inconsolably.
