A car zooms through the crisscross roads, about to bang into the truck across. Sweat trickles down the person driving the car, he is tensed, tear rolls down his eyes and he looks at a picture of a woman, beautifully dressed, he says sorry and takes the car right upto the cliff and crashes down in the valley with a thud. While life is a struggle for the simple Ganga, who meets her ends by selling flowers in Haridwar. Ganga, a Shiv bhakt is the sole bread winner in the house and also parent to her siblings, Golu & Chutki. Ganga who is loaded with the burden of piled up debts, is given an ultimatum by the owner of the house Girdhari lal to either vacant the house in a week's time or pay up the debt. While Ganga puts up a brave act in front of her siblings, she is worried about the deadline, she tries to seek help from her bua in the village but she barely gave her any support.. Instead she eyes Ganga's flower garden, her only means of earning. Yet she is determined to make the money from the maha puja and her best friend Chaya's engagement. But fate had some other plans for her. Madan, the lecherous son of Girdhari, whose only motive is to posses Ganga, plays foul with her while she is on her way to Mahapuja with the flowers. When Ganga reaches the ghat, she is all messed up, her siblings are waiting for her, but Ganga has no hope to share…yet with a smile on her face she goes to the ghat with a diya…just when she is removing her hand from the water she senses a touch of another hand…ganga is alarmed, she discovers that it's a human body floating at the Ganga ghat, she shouts to seek help, and we reveal the face of the same boy who committed suicide from the cliff.

Ganga without giving second thought actions to save the floating body…she requests the gathered villagers to give her a helping hand, but nobody steps forward. Ganga with the help of her siblings and friend Chaya dares to bring this stranger to her own house and give him all the possible treatment. Vaidji advices Ganga to take extra care of the stranger and also advices her if she can shift the stranger to someone else's house as she being a single young girl, it would be safer for her , keeping the conservative mindset of the villagers in mind. Ganga pleads the villagers but all of them turn their back, they even advice her to not fall into such mess, but Ganga's belief to not turn back from her duties on humanitarian grounds, keeps her firm in her decision. She goes against the villagers and continues nursing the stranger who is in a semi dead condition. Ganga's bua learns about this decision of Ganga, she leaves no time to humiliate and demean Ganga in front of the entire village, the humiliation mounts up to a stage when the mukhiya of the village, along with the other villagers, including Girdhari lal and madan come to Ganga's house in the middle of the night. Although the mukhiya is humble to Ganga, but like the villagers he also does not show his support to Ganga and asks her to keep away from all these unnecessary trouble and throw him out of the village. Ganga is shocked to hear this decision from mukhiyaji, whom she expected to give her all the support.

Ganga is shocked, but yet determined with her intention, just then Madan who cannot handle seeing Ganga helping a strange man, seethe with jealousy and is about to throw away the ailing stranger. Ganga unlike her usual calm self picks up a sickle out of fright and warns the men against even inching a step ahead. The villagers are shocked to see this side of Ganga. Even the mukhiya tries to explain Ganga, but she puts across her point clearly to the villagers, which turns out to be an eye opener for all and instead of opposing Ganga further, mukhiya and the villagers extend a hand of help towards Ganga. Of all the villagers Bua and Madan just could not digest this decision. Both Madan and Bua start scheming against Ganga to further demean her…she sends an inspector to arrest Ganga against keeping a strange man in the house. Just when the inspector is about to drag her out of the house, the neighborhood chachi's of ganga, who had turned their back once, come ahead and rebel against the inspector to prove Ganga's crime. Once again Bua's plan falls flat. Ganga participates in Chaya's mehendi ceremony, while in the midst of the fun Ganga spots a piece of newspaper that carries the picture of the stranger. Ganga is excited to see the information provided about this strange man, about whom she does not know anything. But now she knows that he is Manav Rathore. Ganga without wasting anytime contacts Manav's family from Udaipur. While Ganga is waiting desperately for someone from Manav's family to answer the phone, she sees Madan is standing outside the STD booth, Ganga freezes.

Ganga informs the Rathore family about Manav, and gives them the details about Manav's whereabouts. Madan is glad that Ganga is making an effort to get rid of the stranger. Ganga rushes back home to give this good news to her siblings, also Manav now gains his consciousness and calls for Ganga. She is grateful to Shivji for everything. Rathore's a wealthy family from Udaipur reaches Haridwar in their helicopter, they zip around in their cars looking for Ganga's house. They happen to bump into Ganga's Nanhi Bua, she is amazed to see the prosperous family and starts planting her mean intentions. While the family asks her help to find Ganga's house, she misguides them by giving her residential address. She rushes to Ganga's house and puts up an act of being concerned about her and the stranger, she even forcibly shifts Manav, who is once again in an unconscious state,to her house, Ganga is amazed at this change of behavior from Bua.Manav's family reaches at the bua's residence, the family is overwhelmed to find their son alive, mother is unable to control her emotional. Bua, misses no chance to give the credit of saving their wealthy son to her daughter Hema. In the meantime, manav regains his conscious and throws a fit on not finding Ganga around. Just then Ganga comes to Bua's home, Manav recognizes only Gsnga and nobody else…Manav has lost his memory…Family is shocked…
