I've been sort of wondering, after all the news of Pratap's death/Sugna pregnancy, what will become of Sugna after all this happens? Because the situation here is completely different from Phooli, or any other widow. In this situation, her gauna has not yet happened (probably when the news of his death arrives, it has not happened) and she is pregnant.
I'm guessing after the news of his death arrives, she will faint and then the doctor will announce her pregnant. So now, where will Sugna stay? Will her in-laws let her stay at their house, in greed for the child? Or will they push her to her maayka, the same as Phooli's fate was. How will they acknowledge the child, when the entire village is aware that Sugna's gauna never took place?
I've rly been wondering about this, and wud love to hear all views!
