Nups, ....... tell me

The time you spent in the warm sun

How did you enjoy the frolic and the fun?

Did you visit a hacienda lodged in the vale

Or cast a boat out to sea where the wind drove the sail?

A peep through Granada, did you really take

The Berbers ruled there, a city on the make?

Or visit Alhambra for its palaces galore

The architectural legacy left behind by the Moors?

Or touch the winds as they blew in from the sea

Or climb the heights of those majestic Pyrenees

Did you meet the Marquis and the Conquistador?

The romances we read kept us wanting for more....

Cervantes and his famous Man of La Mancha

Who was accompanied by my favourite Sancho Panza

A land of many bucaneers and seafaring men

Their dashing spirit, their fervour is beyond our ken

A great place....you did visit Viva Espana !

And so till we meet again, Hasta Manana !

Ahhhhhh...Espana....well darling dunno about the versatility of the whole country but can vouch for the Flu virus there......😛

Which I had caught in Madrid...well they are still going strong....and keep coming back to re-visit!

How do you tell Spanish Virus they are unwanted....??

On the other hand how do you tell 'nicely' to the Spanish Men that they are sooooo welcome......😉

But gals, have to say this though.......they are everything our lovely M&B describes a perfect M&B men to be ....

Remember how all tall dark handsome men were either Spanish or Italian.....now I know oh-so-true!!!!!

With Spanish men I can see a setting of a puuuuuuuuuurfect doormat-meets-matador romance...!!!

Remember how a typical Mills and Boon setting usually featured a rigid class system, where social mobility was rare and marriage across classes risky–something most of us will understand well......

Not dissimilar to the way Mrs. Bennett's situation in Pride and Prejudice continues to resonate and be relevant for many in Spain actually…

Coz Spanish people are pretty class oriented too.

Oh gosh.....can't believe that in that whole country all I could find worth of discussing were their men!!

How typical I had say..........😆😆😆

But just goes to prove that you can never outgrow romances....*Deep Sigh*

They are timeless and age doesn't have to do anything with it........Har Har!!!!!

In one of your earlier posts regarding Spain, you said: (cannot recall the exact words) It was something like, "shadows of past always follow you..." It's so stuck in my head, and couple of days back, I was again thinking about what you said... 😊

Absolutey!!!! Enchanting city this one is.......the other being Sevilla!

Moors as the Muslim rulers were called ruled here....and so you see a lot of Muslim influence......it's like being in Modern Moracco....without the Arab-tanned-hunk looking prince......argh...there I go on!!!! 😛

Yes that was the main attraction of Granada....the Alhambra.....but tell you frankly...not even close to some of the Rajput Palaces in Jaipur-Udaipur....*Proud Desi*

Of-course I was more interested in the Harem which was on the upper floor...with windows the size of pigeon hole for the women to peep out from.....but the other side of the harem was open to wide-wild-wilderness......very exciting!!!! 😆😆😆
