Hey Mkerai....i think Ravan was supposed to be born as Kansa and not Dantvakra....b/c just like Ravan's arrogance failed him to Recognize the Lord in HIS avtaar as Ramji.....In Jai Shri Krishna, no matter how many times infant and toddler Krishna teach Kansa a lesson by destroying all Kansa's friends or what have you....and all the times the Lord himself goes to make Kansa realize what he is doing is wrong...it is his arrogance depriving him of the truth of the existence of the LORD.......

Basically both Ramji and Krishna gave many chances to Ravan and Kansa respectively to make him realize his bad deeds by destroying others in the process.....however both demons failed to accept the TRUTH due to their arrogance!!!!!

No need to get confused.....

Lord Vishnu's dwaarpal..Jai and Vijay were cursed by Sanat Kumar's cos of their behaviour..Lord Vishnu intervened and hey reduce their punishment and said tht Jai and Vijay will be demons in three lives and Lord Vishnu will tae the incarnation to kill them...

First was Hrinyakashyap and Hrinyaksh..

Lord Vishnu took the Incarnation of Varah (Wild Boar) and Narshimha Avataar to kill both brothers.

Second was Ravan and Kumbhakaran..

Lord Vishnu took the Avataar of Shri Ram and killed them..

Third is Shishupaal and Dantavakra....

Shri Krishna killed both...

Laxman and Balram are the incarnations of Sheshnaag..ANANT DEV.

And now in Kaliyuga..

Lord Vishnu will take Kalki Avatar and Anant dev will be with him in form of Horse...
