Out of the many who manage to land land a star role in Bollywood very few make it big. Here are a few whose time still hasnt arrived

Himalayputra (that's the film daddy Vinod Khanna produced to launch him) Akshaye Khanna is famous for his receeding hairline, swinging moods and intense acting. Though not necessarily in that order. But his sole 2008 release Mere Baap Pehle Aap was a disaster at the BO. The 'Border' man is almost out of public memory thanks to his drought run. His future release includes Shortcut: The con is on. Well, the only tragedy is that there are no shortcuts to success. Is it time to seek solace in spirituality or politics?
Jadoo ki jhappi
Ness Wadia and IPL. That's definitely lifeline for this perky actress. Preity Zinta definitely needs some jadoo to pep up her career. In 2008, she was more in news for those famous jadoo ki jhappis she gave to cricketers who played for Kings XI Punjab. Her much-talked about film The Last Lear bombed at the BO and though now she's talking about her tryst with art films, she really needs some magic to bring life to her sagging career.
No dream run
As daughter of Hema Malini and Dharmendra, Esha definitely has some DNA to boast of. But then one needs more than genes to do well in Bollywood. She might have lost her baby fat with rigorous exercise but that has not helped her to bag meaty roles. From super flops like Just Married to Hijack, Esha has nothing much in her kitty to boast of. Last we heard is that she's doing a film titled 24X7...

Controversies come easily to him but not films. This is one Khan who has very little to show in terms of work. Fardeen Khan's Heyy Baby did make the cash registrars ringing. But that didn't boost his career. And the tough times continue.
Still an Ajnabee
His home production Apne did bring him some solace. But the going has been really tough for Bobby Deol. From Naqaab, Nanhe Jaisalmer to Chamku, all have been added to his list of flops in recent years. Even bade bhaiya Sunny Deol could not do much to help Bobby. Did you by mistake tell Jhoom Barbar Jhoom?

Post Company, he was Bollywood's darling. With powerful performances in Saathiya and Yuva, everybody thought he would rule for a long time. But then that press conference against Salman Khan changed everything for him.A string of flops like Kisna, Pyare Mohan and with very films to sign, Vivek turned his attention to charity. And then Shootout at Lokhandwala happened and he could have actually thanked Maya Dolas for bringing him back to public mind. But then that disastrous flop called Mission Istanbul happened. And now Vivek is doing a film Prince of Thieves by Kookie Gulati.

His life reads like a fast paced novel. From drug addiction, jail term to raging successes like Munnabhai MBBS, Sanjay Dutt has seen it all. His Bole Toh became national vocabulary but then the ghosts of Bombay Blast case are yet to leave him. Hours at the gym didn't help Kidnap to become a hit. And now it seems bhabhiji (Mannayta)has taken over his life oops limelight. 'Baba', where are you now?
