I don't think Sonu's variations are cheap at all. In fact that's his USP when it comes to live performances. I mean come on would you rather go to a Sonu concert or an Udit concert? It shows that he has a musical mind and does not just sing "rat rat ke". I think OBJ finds it cheap because Sonu added variations to a song originally sung by Rafi saab. Actually I have seen some Rafi saab concert videos and he used to play a lot with sur and taal too. example: once he completely changed the rhythm of the song Kya hua tera vaada. If OBJ hadn't heard that and heard Sonu do the same thing he would probably call that cheap as well. 😉

i cant believe u think i never saw rafis' live concerts...

heck thats the reason why i called his variations cheap!

rafi's variations were actually better.. he never killed the song.. plus he had more depth despite the softness in his voice...

to answer u it would be neither of the 2..

sonu- u no y..

udit- he sound like he's burping when he sings live.

listen to barbaad e mohabbat by sonu where he sound like he's been drinking...
