Has Govinda's career reached a dead-end?
How many hits has Govinda given in the last few years? 'Partner' being the only exception, most of his films have flopped. Also, he isn't in shape anymore.
What is his market credibility at the moment? Why is he acting so pricy? Not only did he leave the film, 'Showman' before it's completion, but also imposed several terms and conditions, to complete it, including changing the title of the film.
Govinda, do I need to remind you that even a superstar like Rajesh Khanna, lost his box-office status, because of his unprofessional attitude. He lost many of his films to his then rival, Amitabh Bachchan, only because of his attitude issues.
Nine of Govinda's last eleven films, didn't do well at the box office. Yet, he refuses to mellow down. Instead, he chooses to go under the knife, in order to get into shape, and set things right. To surprise us all, he has expressed his desire to get into action films.
Boy, does your body, image and personality, from any angle suit the requirements of an action hero? The audience has given you adulation, much more than you deserve. Respect that and stick to comedy instead.
Moreover, action films won't get you going, but being professional will. Which producer will ever be willing to cast you, if you suddenly stop shooting and start enforcing your own terms and conditions.
His stint as a local MP was a dud too. Though the people voted for him, he failed to live up to their trust, and hardly fulfilled any of the promises he had made during his election campaign. Instead, he came out in the open, expressing his support for Shakti Kapoor, in the sting operations episode.
Why do these actors enter politics when they are not aware of their social responsibilities?
Get a life Govinda. Mindless comedies are your forte, and you are good at it. Be professional, and stick to it, instead of getting carried away, and the audience will give you your due.
