Jan 2 (Fri):
Chandra goes to the Customs office and sees Pandian there. She tells Pandian if anything happens to her because of this case, Pandian's life would be made miserable. Pandian tells her to wait for a while and goes inside. Pandian goes inside and tells Vikram that Chandra is outside. Vikram tells him that Chandra can wait for a while. Outisde, Chandra calls someone and tells him to call the customs office and tell them not to question her but the man says he cannot do that but will try something else and disconnects. After some time, Vikram tells Pandian to take Chandra into the enquiry room. Pandian bring Chandra to the room where he and Nithya are waiting. Vikram tells Chandra to take a seat and Pandian to leave. After Pandian leaves, Vikram asks if she is a Miss or Mrs. Chandra asks if they are enquiring her or about her personal life. Vikram then asks her about the diamond smuglling in bodies from overseas. Chandra says she is not involved and she only knew about it after reading about it in the newspapers.
Vikram asks if she is afraid and Chandra says she is not afraid of anything or anyone. Vikram says that it is her travel agency that is involved. Vikram tells her that everyone should be afraid of the law. Nithya asks if she knows that her agency is sending people overseas. Chadnra says she told her people to stop being agent to send workers. Vikram asks what if her people says she did not say anything but Chandra says they will not do that. Nithya asks if she had warned her people to say what she told him. Chandra says she does not have to teach people to tell the truth. Vikram gets a call from the boss who tells him not to enquire Chandra anymore and to send her home. Vikram tells Chandra she can leave. Nithya is shocked. Chandra is relieved. Nithya asks why their boss told them to let Chandra go and Vikram says it is not his place to question their boss. At home, Chitra asks her father (customs boss) for a cell phone but the father says it is not a necessity and tells her he had left the tuition fees on the table and for her to take it. Chitra just leaves. Customs officer gets a call from Ranjini. He asks her why she asked that Chandra to be let go. Ranjini says if Chandra is caught now, she will somehow come out. Ranjini wants to get more details which would put Chandra away for good. Customs officer tells Ranjini that he will always help her at any time she needs it. Ranjini says thanks you and disconnects. Rajalakshmi is in her room and takes out a jewelery box. She takes out a necklace and puts it on, admiring the beauty. She takes it off and outs it back into the box and then into the closet. She turns around and sees Priya looking at her.
Rajalakshmi asks Priya why she is there. Priya tells her that Rajalakshmi did not show her the diamond necklace but has not. Rajalakshmmi asks why and Priya says she had never seen a diamond necklance before as she comes from a poor family. Rajalakshmi takes the necklace out and shows it to Priya. Priya says it is very beautiful and asks if Rajalakshmi has been wearing diamonds since she was a child. Rajalakshmi stammers saying yes. Priya tells her a story about her neighbor who had been wearing all kinds of jewelery but one day the police arrested her. Rajalakshmi is shocked and asks why. Priya says that the neighbor had cheated someone of millions and bought all her jewelery and the police had found out. Priya says why be with all this jewelery and be afraid that police will be after them. Priya asks if her daughter doesn't say anything about mother buying the jewelleries. Mother says Chandra won't because she is her daughter's mentor and her face changes. Priya asks why the change but Rajalakshmi smiles. Priya comes out and is happy that the reverse psychology is working. Chandra and Ranjini are travelling in the car. Chandra thanks Ranjini for talking to the customs officer into letting her go. Ranjini says it is nothing as the help Chandra had done for her is greater than what she ha done. Ranjini then asks why Neela had not tried to contact Chandra as Chandra loves Neela very much. Chandra thinks for a moment and says maybe Neela too thinks that Chandra is dead. THODARUM.
