Great songs are one of the things that make Hindi films so good, and in 2008 there were an abundance of great songs. There were full-on rock jams, gorgeous ballads, dance mixes that made you want to move, and of course bhangra and typical Hindi film beats. Lots of the albums encompassed all those styles and even some new cool sounds. It was very hard to come up with the best of the best, but here are our picks for the 25 best songs of 2008.

We went through several versions of this list and there are more songs we wish we could have included ('Phir Milenge Chalte Chalte'-Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, 'Socha Hai' "Sindbad the Sailor' -Rock On!!, 'Yeh Pyaar Hai' and 'Dhoka'-Woodstock Villa, 'Hawa Sun Hawa'- Ada,'Tera Woh Pyaar'- Ru Bu Ru - I guess I sort-of sneaked them in!) but since we had to limit ourselves, these are the 25 songs that were the Great Songs in 2008!Edited by gursharan - 16 years ago
