I wrote this letter and sent it to Balaji Telefilms' email-address.
I realize that it has been quite hard on everyone because of the strike and now these troubles that 9x channel is having. But I hope that things will turn out for the better and that Balaji will take over the channel. However, I write on the behalf of a lot of fans who are hoping and praying that Kya Dill Mein Hai will survive this period of uncertainty and trouble – and that it will return in January, strong and withholding the same magic which it was loved for from episode 1-70, because the episodes after Naina Bhasin's death had Rahul-Kakun fans crying and hurting a lot, and we all feel that we deserve to see our beloved couple together again after all this time of pain, misunderstandings and torture. More than us – the characters deserve it, because the entire concept of the show was based on them and their beautiful love-story. Please don't ruin that, please give us back our Rahul-Kakun at least now that we have heard about Aamir Ali's departure because of the upcoming leap. Don't break our hearts, please, unite Rahul-Kakun in love before the leap happens. That's the least you can give us after we've endured months of torture and pain with their constant separation and Rahul marrying Naina Oberoi. Please, we can settle with this leap, if only we know that Rahul and Kakun ended up together and that Kakun's child is not the seed of Aman's rape.
I, and the other fans, are pleading you to not break our hearts, to please reward us for our endurance of the past 30 episodes of nothing but pain, tears and crushed hope for our Rahul-Kakun, the two characters in this show whom we love the most and who's love mattered the most to us. We have suffered like they have, because we have gotten so attached to them. Please, don't crush the last bit of hope that we have left for them, for their love to survive, for their reunion. Please unite them in love again. We're begging you. It's hard enough for us that Aamir Ali is leaving the show, and if we also have to live with the fact that his character will remain married to Naina Oberoi, and that he and Kakun will never be together – that will just break us all. Don't do that to us, please. We have been your loyal viewers for so long, and we've supported your show, your characters and the actors, too. We've supported you through sickness and health. Please, don't abandon our hopes, don't ignore our wishes. Unite Rahul and Kakun before the leap, please.
Kindest regards,
Elysia and fans of KDMH from the IF-Forums
