Thanks for the compliments guysđ
You know when I first posted it I was pretty pumped up about the Friday episode that maybe now things will get better. And I intended to come back to this post today after giving my last exam and then give my own POVs with the added perspective of the Monday episode. But our bad luck.......... the up and down motion of this show continues *sigh*. So I'll now just respond to what you guys have said.
@ Jo â so it all comes down to ego doesn't it? Pride...........ego........ a stubborn determination to defeat the other and than rub it in ........ Both are now acting like little kids rather than mature, educated adults. đĄThe bad luck for Raj and Kranti is that they had to cross each other's path again and again and again until now where they have reached such a stage that where the other is concerned the distinction between right and wrong has become very blurred..........
In response to your reply to Skepti's post I would like to add one thing....... I wanted kranti to leave...........I didn't agree with Raj's action because he doesn't know everything about kranti and as far as he's concerned Kranti had no other options. He know's what here Mami is like she couldn't go back there............ But Kranti had options .........she's an educated woman and her being a krantikari she could well take care of herself..........I actually thought that her parents home in Amrtisar will come into play here.... that she'll go there ad maybe get a job as she had earlier on in the show........ And then well....... u know the whole transformation thing and Raj following her and the whole falling in love track........ Kranti acting the way that she is ......... what's so different about her than any other woman in that era......actually most of the wives in that era were probaby better. they knew when to remain quiet and not irritate their patidev.........The Kranti of Monday episode and the ones before that.........is she the kind of woman a guy would fall in love with? We need some sort of redemption and actually I m not comfortable with BBR's scheming if Kranti goes out in such a way ........ Her humiliation and character assassination will be complete.
@Seebz â Ego! Ego! Ego.đĄBoth are trying to prove that they are right and this turned into a quagmire out of which they can't seem to escape.
@Ashna â Yeah, that's my state of mind as well and again thanks for the compliment.
@ Skeptical â Hey, c'mon now.đ There isn't any need to apologize.đ "Solitude thinking?" Well I don't know about that but it was the only thing that I have read from Eliot for which I didn't need teacher's help to understand what he's saying. His poetry is good but really difficult to prepare for an exam...
And yes the writers have killed the characters. There was so much promise and what they have they have turned it into....... Although I don't agree with the ending of RDB but maybe the writers should have a look at the movie once. Soha's role was small but there was a fire in her. I think they really are treating MRD as the stepchild. And I now wonder how long the actors will put up with this nonsense.
@an â thanks.đ Everyone agrees on this but will the makers ever wake up?
@ Dew â Thanks for the welcome đand yes it is Arwen Evenstar. I really liked both the novel and the films. I don't know of any other film adaptation in recent years in which the film was as good as the book. They usually destroy the beauty of the book â for instance the Harry Potter movies are a huge disappointment. And yes the show is going down the drain. Let's see how bad things get before/if getting better.
@ Dawn â Well at least you have hope. If it's any consolation, Raj was really good in last night's episode.đ Gavie is a really good actor.
@Purvi â Thanks.đ You know that's why I finally caught the repeat. Jo mentioned his acting in her update and I finally decided to see for myself. Well he was good and he looked hot.đł
