he knows music but as a selector he is worthless.
he probably saw asma's last name and tought "waah waah, ye to rafi saaheb jaisa gaa sakta hai! main isko select karoonga! waah waah!! waah aadesh, tu to super selector hain!"

I thought that he was also the Head of some Music Society in India. It is not for us to judge him unless we ourselves have adequate credentials.

I dont agree with the logic in questioning Aadesh's music knowledge. If it is only because he selected Asma, then well what can I say, it is on the format. I suppose he has to select 'x' no of people from each country they visit and maybe she was best amongst them. Also there you have to pick up someone based on a single or at the most a couple of performances, we all know last year Mauli Dave, was brilliant in Maiyya Maiyya, but did you hear her sing the other songs ????? These contestants prepare 1 or 2 songs for months and hence are good at it but when they have to sing other songs, regularly, you know the difference.

Similarly, in Indian Idol, it was Sonu Nigam who had picked up Ravinder Ravi (the painter) and after his first performance had said that he could win. But did you hear him sing after that ???????? So will you say that Sonu does not really know music ????

Last year, Asha Bhosle had picked up Mauli, over a much better singer in Shreshtha (i dont if anyone remembers her) she had sung brilliantly and 100% times better than Mauli. So does that mean that Asha does not know music ???

In every decision, there are various factors which go in and so one cannot conclude on anyone musical provice based on this.

Aadesh has been one of the most reputed musicians in the Industry. He was at one point the leading drumer of the industry and has done more than 10000 shows. As a MD he is very talented but to succeed these days you also need luck with talent. Which he has missed out on. I have also not heard that he has asked for work but I know many MDs (HR included) who openly ask for work. Everyone is different in his thinking, I think he is happy with what he has achieved.

did aadesh selected asma really?n joe ji he is a great selector he is the one who selected shashi dont u forget tht as far music is concerned i love listening to his compositions esp bebasi dard ka alam(baabul)gare man piya piya qawali(baabul)so for me he is a good MD and a nice selector.

shashi was a one genre singer!!

yeah his music is ok..

hes a good judge

but his selection? 🤢
