Hey there Kripa! - Congratulations!

I happened to read through your anwers and found them rather interesting; I couldnt stop myself asking you this one question -

It is apparent to any ardent fan of the Harry Potter series that the characters in the Harry Potter are defined more predominantly by their attitude towards death and J K Rowling herself says in one of the interviews. However magic being real or no, we do see people being scared of death , being the non magical ones or the dark wizard Voldermort, who feared death the most!

Why do you think people/humans are scared of death ? What is it about death , that makes many want to escape , or overcome it ? It is the fear of the end or of moving into a different world?

Would love to know your thoughts !

That is a VERY interesting question. well, personally, I think the reason why people so terrified of death is because we don't know what happens after death. I mean I tried so hard to think of heaven and hell or even rebirth. But I can't imagine it all, because there are so many different forms of afterlife. So I started to believe that after we die, there is absolutely nothing. Just a darkness, and nothingness, and we don't feel anything anymore and just stop existing. It's like an endless sleep, without dreams and never waking up. And that scares me. I wish there was at least ghosts in the world, or something else, where I can still have a mind and think, and be able to still exist in some shape and form. But most of all, I still want to exist somewhere, somehow.

Interesting, I see where you are coming from! Essentially you mean what you dont know , scares you! Contrary to that I believe, what we dont , doesnt scare us. But there is more than to your answer and that is what intrigued me!

But the thought of wanting to exist in some manner , and not vanish completely is what intrigued me and got me thinking! Very interesting indeed!

I've a lot more to say on this and possibly I shall take up the space of a new post ! But thank you for answering this question!
