The recent financial crisis and the long list of Yash Raj failures has forced director Adi Chopra to shelve his forthcoming flick Haddippa starring Shahid Kapoor and Rani Mukherjee in pivotal roles.

A source reveals, "Adi is in desperate times as most of Yash Raj movies have flopped miserably at the Box Office. They have had only one hit in the last two years, Shah Rukh Khan starrer Chak De India. So Adi doesn't want any more flops."

"He has his own directed film, Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, and is 90% certain that this will become a hit, mainly because it has the star-power of Shah Rukh Khan in the cast. But it's one of the films after that which has got him worried, Haddipa," continued the source.

"Adi found the direction amateurish by Yash Raj standards. He had a long chat with Anurag Singh (Director) who was shooting the film in Punjab. Adi made it very clear that until things changed, he wouldn't have another schedule for the film."

Rani-Shahid combo doesn't really ring any enthusiasm among cine-goers. The pictures of Rani donning a Guy look is also not very appealing. Most probably the film will meet the same fate as Vidya-Shahid starrer.
