^ i sorta disagree.. i think the saying originated from teh fact that a sali would do the same chores as the wife (cook clean, *rolls eyes.. i can do neither! yay for women power) but is not the wife, and its the husband's responsibility to look after his wife (and in this sense the sali as well)
thats why i think the saying fits! =P

bibbo,That means you don't know the real meaning of that saying. It has different meaning than just cooking,cleaning.😊 Taking care of women in your life is good. and not necessarily " Adhigharwali way" My only concern was that saying didn't fit in Aalekh and Raagnini's situation. It's not at all that way.
