Remix songs!

hmmm. I have mixed feeling over this. I think mostly I would like to side with Rakhi over the issue. A lot of the old hit songs such as Sajna hai mujhe sajna ke liye, mere piya, pardesiya... these are very nice songs. I love old music. But I can't expect everyone else to do the same. Even I don't want to hear them in the old version at times. Sometimes I don't want all the beats and rap added to it. But I definitely don't feel the song in the actual version. I have a whole set of remix song dvds. I put them in once in a while to dance. I love dancing to it. As soon as the songs come on my 1st thought is dance. I don't even think about I automatically dance. I doubt I could do the same with actual version. Actually I have tried and I can't. Remix songs are not just business but it's a way of reviving the songs. What is wrong with presenting the old music in a new way? I don't believe it's murder.

I also have mixed feelings regarding remix songs. For me it depends on the song. Some remixes don't gel well, and others do. Like there are some songs I am so happy that were remixed because they were tuned up for the better. But some I feel are better untouched.

But I have to agree with Rakhi remixes are needed to revive old forgotten magical songs.
