Romatic SRK - Move over Mills and Boon, here comes Shah Rukh Khan!
If anybody could have replaced the Big B in the Yash Raj romances, it was SRK. The quintessential loverboy 'Raj' became every woman's dream. From DDLJ to Veer Zaara, SRK symbolised undying, unwavering love that we have fallen in love with.
Here's to Raj, Rahul, Veer… for giving a face to eternal romance in the 90s.
Villainous SRK – Thy love is strong, thy hatred stronger!
Passion thy name is Shah Rukh Khan. If love he could portray so deeply, more intensely he could hate. And we loved that too. His raw anger in Baazigar and burning passion in Darr added yet another angle to this man we love.
Sportsman SRK
Women love their men to be sporty and cool. That's exactly why we love SRK. He played rugby in DDLJ, basketball in KKHH, football in KANK and finally was a hockey star in Chak De! India.
It was little surprise when he came up with his IPL team…
NRI SRK – Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani?
Many people can be settled abroad. But a true NRI should have India in his heart. And with more than half the country holding Shah Rukh in their hearts, no wonder, he makes the best Non Resident Indian ever in Indian cinema. The Rajs and the Rahuls who have been born and brought up in some foreign country made us fall in love with them, because King Khan added that special Indianness to them.
The best however will always be Mohan Bhargav. Gowariker's NRI hero from Swades , who comes back to his native land only to find a deeper love for the soil will have that special corner in all our hearts forever.
The King of Triangles
It's surprising how this superstar has managed to handle two women and even another man in love with his woman in the same movie time and time again. His career so far has been full of love triangles, where either SRK had played the other man or had to handle the other man in a romance. He had also handled two women with equal ease.
Be it Dil to Pagal Hai where Pooja and Nisha both swooned over him, or KANK where he was the other man in a much married Rani Mukerji's life, SRK had done it all with lan. And throughout, in all these films, SRK had emerged the 'hero'. We have laughed with him, cried for him and felt his passion and helplessness.
It's this quality of making us fall in love with him over and over again with whatever he did that makes SRK the absolute KING of Bollywood! And on his birthday, we would like to say, 'WE LOVE YOU' once again!
If you want to say it too and wish him on his special day on November 2, just leave a message!
