Deepika was spotted in an excellent Himesh video,Bipasha in a Sonu Nigaam video,Anushka went for an audition.What Saawariya a full length film couldn't do for Sonam,can these paid appearances,photoshoots,write ups by Renuka Vythare,or Kunal Shah do it?
Bollywood is only too familiar with all this,and cynical .
Sonam should stop all this and make rounds of producers offices,give auditions,work on her voice,get her eyebrows redone,get a new hairstylist,learn how to play up her weakest feature-her eyes,etc etc.It will eventually pay off.
Sadly, no matter what she does, the tag of being Anil Kapoor's daughter is going to stay on for a very very long time just like how in every single article, Ranbir is mentioned to be from the great Kapoor family being Raj Kapoor's grandson. It's not their fault that they are tagged as that.
A page 3 fixture??? Hahahaha Sonam was NO where to be seen for almost a year because she was too busy shooting for a MOVIE.......she only came out like what last month??? And now she's a page 3 fixture? A page 3 fixture is someone who only goes around attending parties. Sonam actually is doing some work.....she's the new face of Anamika Khanna and Levi's just like how some actresses might be faces of shampoos, soft drinks, etc. Them doing the ads on tv make them a page 3 fixture? Do the directors run away from them? NO because it's part of their job........Sonam's advertisements require her to walk the ramps.......it's part of her job.
And please like shes' the only actress thats on magazine covers...........I see more of Deepika, Bipasha, Katrina (esp. her), etc on every single cover out there but when they do it, it's promoting themselves which you need in Bollywood but when Sonam does it she's being a page 3 fixture? Such double standards.
Sonam worked as an assistant director for Sanjay Leela Bhansali for 2 years! She did much more hard work to be in his movie. And I beg to differ, Saawariya did a lot for Sonam. Granted the movie failed but she didn't go totally unoticed. In this case, even Aishwarya should stop coming in movies cause her first movie failed, and oh Katrina's boom failed too and OMG Kajol, the great Tanuja's daughter's first movie flopped as well......but people didn't come out to them and gave them a chance still and some of them happen to be great actresses at the moment. Well some.
Sonam has signed a lot of movies which she can't talk about until the right time just like any other actress isn't allowed to talk about her upcoming movies until everything is confiremd. She has taken a one movie at a time route which I must say is qutie admirable so early in her career because in this industry when actresses sign any movie they can when they start out, she's not. She can easily use being Anil Kapoor's daughter to her advantage and use those connections to sign movies as well.
