Ranbir and Deepika lined up by Ramu for third Sarkar film

According to the grapevine, Ram Gopal Verma has signed up youngsters Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone for yet another film in the Sarkar tale.

Even though Sarkar Raj bombed, Ramu is quite adamant on continuing with the series. Apparently, Ranbir will play the role of Chickoo (Kay Kay Menon's son from the original Sarkar) who will now be all grown up. A scene in regards to this put in the final few minutes of Sarkar Raj. Deepika Padukone will play Chickoo's wife,says a source.

The film has been given the title of Sarkar Raj 3, and apart from Amitabh Bachchan and Supriya Phatak, Aishwarya Rai will also feature.

IF its true then its such an awesome news man!! Sarkar raj 3 probably gonna be one of the most awaited movie with such a smashing cast.

This is the age of the sequel. And Ram Gopal Varma, who has tasted blood with the Sarkar series, is hell bent on making a trilogy of the popular film that has Amitabh Bachchan playing the powerful role of politico-don Subhash (Sarkar) Nagre. His second film, Sarkar Raj, had Abhishek Bachchan (who plays Shankar, the Sarkar's son) getting killed. But Varma found a way to salvage the popular Sarkar character by adding a twist at the end of the film which he is reportedly planning to fall back upon now while making the third film. Sarkar Raj ends with Amitabh shown ordering his wife Pushpa (Supriya Phatak) to call his grandson Chickoo (Kay Kay Menon's son from the earlier film) back from wherever the boy is studying abroad. This open ending gave rise to speculation that there would be a trilogy to the series. Varma, too, had confirmed that he might make another film by taking it on from where they had left.
Now news is that Ranbir Kapoor, yes, returns to the Sarkar's haveli as Chickoo in the third film. And that's not all, he is accompanied by his wife — Deepika Padukone. The two actors were recently seen in Bachna Ae Haseeno. "The film may be called Sarkar Raj 3," informed a source, and it will be played around powerful performances by Amitabh himself and also Aishwarya Rai.
