Physical Observation

Viewers tend to notice everything about characters. So today, as a newer viewer, I am going to make physical observations that appear mean-spirited, but are not that. In fact, in multiple forums, viewers discuss what impacts their views: goodness of character and appearance. Matter of fact, on the Vivaah forum, we've routinely discussed why the look and feel of certain characters turn us off to storylines or make them less believable.

Please allow me this and feel free to disagree. Note I am only talking about physical appearance of the character, no more, no less. And I understand that actors/actresses are made to look a certain way in keeping with their characters.

Why is it that the young women in Waaris are (made) so unattractive, unlike the men? More than any show on Zee, Waaris is one that can boast no truly beautiful character(s).

Gayatri is boring and old and unnatural.
I finally saw Ganga and was disappointed. I was all gung-ho about her possibly marrying Shourya, but she is so plain Jane and not pretty.

Simran is mousy but pulls off the ultimate coup: she somehow manages to see through the heavy mop of bangs above her eyes.

Sorry, I know this is not nice, but unfortunately appearance of a characters determines how they are accepted and supported by viewers. It is absolutely true.

I think gayatri is fine; even mom look good.

I think Gayathri looks very beautiful, but personally I thought she looked cuter in the flashback scene. You're right that Ganga has been given a very plain look, but I guess that goes with character. She's not meant to be glamorous. Simran is supposed to be that bubbly kind of girl...but I guess she could have done that even without those bangs hehe

Honestly, all three do look in character. They look more realistic than women in other shows with pounds of makeup on.

I think they're presented much better than other shows present women. All the actresses on TV look extremely fake as no matter how rich you are - you don't sit at home with glamorous saris, 80 pounds of makeup, and 100 pounds of jewelery! lol

I like how all three look simple and in characters as Inavars mentioned!

same idea with you i give you reasons they are better presented than other shows.they are not fake that without make up you don't even recognize them.

I like them ,plain and simple but still impressive............

Gayatri in mayka luked quiet good...ganga in solhah singaar luked very fresh and beautiful...same goes with all the other ladies...

this is what makes warris diffrent here ladies are not overly dresses to look lik e barbie dol thgey are sshown more closer to reality

i agree with gayathri looks simple and beautiful.. so easy to relate toher.. and she looked so nice in the flash back.. even after marriage she maintained the twinkle in her eye.. i think she suits the character perfectly well.. also the men are not ind esigner suits etc.. just smart casuals and that's also just perfect.. all in all a real feeling comes into mind when we watch them
