Perhaps this will make Waaris even more diffrent than the other serials .
I find this refreshing and lovely . And oh so realistic.....realism has its own beauty . The tons of make up that other characters on Zee wear , dress in zari saris [ and sleep in them too ] and high heels in the house , however traditiona the family is.....makes me sick .
I was dying to see plain cotton saris , ethnic clothes , simple lifestyle , and realistic make up , like Yeshodas and Gayatris ......homely in the true sense . Saloni , the Betiyaan , etc supposedly portray traditional women but look like flashy cheaply attired overdressed goddesses visiting us from heaven . Just a gajra in the hair , a wide bordered cottn sari makes Gayatri beautiful and credible both . she is not a party girl , a simple housewife . on the other hand see simran .........dressed appropriately acc to her background . they have shown sense in taste for first time in serials . Ganga will evolve is my gut feeling [ i hope she does....simran ticks me off for no unexplainable reason].
Why the clothes.....look at the decor in the house , how plain middle class and realistic . The bedsheets r clean and cotton , printed , not ornate like the other serials . And see the kitchen . Waaris is sure very particular aout realism .
