Hello

The 18th amendment to the US Constitution (1919) made it illegal to manufacture, transport or sell liquor in the United States. Curiously enough, imbibing liquor was not a crime. This amendment was repealed in 1933 in the 21st amendment.

Hello

The US government did not have the right to levy taxes on income until 1913. The 16th amendment of the US Constitution conferred upon it the right to do so.

The terms of the US President and the Vice-President come to an end at noon on the 20th day of January following the election. The newly-elected President and Vice-President take the oath of office exactly at that time.
