Hi Everyone,
We all love the Harry Potter series. There's no question about that. But I'm sure that there are some aspects of the books or even the movies that you dislike, it can be a character, a scene or even a storyline.
So lets here it. What DON'T you like about Harry Potter!

Finding things I dont like was very hard to do😆but I guess they could work more on the HP movies to make them better b/c the characterization in the books is completely different from the movies. The movies dont do justice to the characters.Like Hermione gets all Ron's lines which is unfair. Sometimes the movies also changes plot and adds new things which are completely unnecessary...I wish they would just stick to the books🤔

okay... here goes....
- Even though it was essential to the storyline, the deaths of most of my favourite characters were too much....
- The movies don't follow the books... there are scenes cut out and unnecessary new scenes put in...
- Emma's hair in the movies is now straight and blonde.... whereas in the books it's supposed to be brown and bushy...
that's it, i guess!

Since I started the topic I guess I should give my picks.😉
1. The fact that Dobby died😭
2. The fact that Harry was deprived of a normal "wizard" childhood
3. I could have done without the "Nineteen years later" in DH
4. I didn't like how both tonks and lupin died. It should have been only one of teddy's parents instead of two.
5. And it goes without saying that all the movies have too many flaws and alterations.👎🏼

None of the movies are good, they've cut out many vital parts(or used Hermoine to explain instead) and instead they tend to add parts which aren't in the book.

I feel all the main characters cannot act[apart from Robbie Coltrane(Hagrid) and Rupert Grint(Ron) can sometimes act]. I feel Daniel Radcliff and Emma Watson cannot act and need a lot of improvement.

The actors chosen to play the roles just don't fit into the characters they play, eg. Maggie Smith is a great actress but I can't identify her as Professor McGonagall.

Too many lifts from other novels such as Lord of the Rings and Northern Lights.

Some characters/storylines weren't developed and dealt with too well such as the RAB mystery(that was too obvious). Also a very rushed ending.

That's more than 5(sorry) and there's probably more too, but that's what comes to mind ATM.

This isn't what I hate about HP. I love the HP series so it's more of a "5 things the HP series could have done without:" list.

  1. OBHWF. It started out as Harry's story and ended up as the Weasley family's. As much as I adore them, it was nauseating.
  2. The major canon pairings: Ron/Hermione and Ginny/Harry. I would've prefered to see Hermione with Oliver or George/Fred or Draco/Blaise and Luna was a wonderful foil to Harry's past. I can see Ron hooking up with Daphne Greengrass as they both are overshadowed by others (Ron by Harry and Daphne by Pansy).
  3. Snape loves Lily storyline. I loved Snape pre-DH but his obsession with Lily was something that need not be shown. Some people don't need a reason to dislike something that's 'in vogue' - they just do.
  4. DH Epilogue. It never happened. I refuse to admit that Hermione is reduced to a baby popping machine and that Draco has a receeding hairline!!
  5. Killing Sirius. 😭😭 I cried a lot after that!

I also dislike the fact that interhouse unity is a utopia Rowling talked about yet never explored. The Slytherins were left biting the dust and I, for one, didn't like it. You can't judge a whole house on the actions of one person (i.e. Pansy).
