This section seems to empty, I wish I had someone who watches these episodes that would engage in nice discussions in the section. So I decided to make a post to see if someone feels the same way I do and would reply. 😃

I really like Vivek Oberoi. And I don't know much about the specifics of the controversies that he was engaged in. But I thought he came across as such a down-to-earth person. I mean he was so open about admitting his mistakes and again and again realized and talked about how success got to his head. I felt that was such true redemption. It was fun watching the episode. He was quite entertaining. And the friendship that him and Sajid share came across as very pleasant to watch.

I loved him in Shootout at Lokhandwala and recently watched Mission Istanbul, where he was once again playing a very mysterious, slick character. I loved him in that form. I think he has such potential, he's such a wonderful actor.

And I can't believe he rejected the role in Om Shanti Om! That would've been such a boost in his career. Arjun Rampal is enjoying much glory at the time.

Any thoughts?

Just done watching the video. I too thought that he came across as a mature, sober guy who is humble enough to admit that he made mistakes without trying to give out nakhras saying that the press blew things out of proportion etc..

I particularly like the answer he gave to his final question when he was asked what he would like to change ... He gave an honest, down-to earth answer..

I never used to like Vivek Oberoi....always thought that he was a bit too much, but after watching this episode, I feel a new respect for the guy...he seems nice.

It was a good episode.. I lked this one much better than the one with Vidya Balan

I agree with both of you..Everyone is entilted to making mistakes... He seems to be a decent person..People can change....people need to cut him some slack.... I just believe he should be forgiven. it's high and time.. I know there was Salman issues..but we don't get as much here in the U.S as much as India gets. And it's always here say gossip...I never knew what happen either, just that he got with Ash and that was it...😒

I completely agree. His humility was extremely attractive. He came across as very humble and that was pleasant to watch. And I honestly believe that not everyone can make mistakes and then be able to admit them and learn from them. He's really cool. Hoping to see him soon in more roles!

And yes the episode was MUCH better than Vidya Balan's.

I know! We don't get anything here in the US. Maybe someone here will enlighten us as to what all the controversy was about.

When Ash started going out with Vivek - Sallu was still trying to win her back. One day Vivek calls in a press conference and announces that he is a boxing champion and that Salman has been calling him and harrassing him, threatning him w/ his life.

It was a huge thing and was all over the news. However, Sallu i think said that he did call him once but never threatened him or anyone else.

Right after that a tape was released where Sallu is talking to Ash and telling her about his underworld contacts. As it turns out that it was a bogus tape. Don't know who released it.

Vivek was going around town painting it red with the fact that Ash was his girlfriend, however she never once admitted in public that they were together. From what i hear she dumped him and didnt even tell him.

Vivek did a dance in some show (after Ash left him for AB jr.) somewhere Sallu was the chief guest along with Shilpa shetty. Vivek after finishing his dance came to the front of the stage, and he grabbed his ears and apologized to Salman for his behavior.

I agree with you all that this was a really good episode, i enjoyed his honest answers.
