Insipid acting - Page 6

What can I say I had no expectations of Gaurav but Prachi dissapointed me thoroughly both via acting and actions none seemed appropriate.

agree with u ash 😛...really dissapointed to see a show like kymt which had a very strong cast (shabir,jay,sanjee,baba,allap,PL,Ronit...) has been reduced to a mere circus

Opti-- so true abt the makeup and acting!! weirdly i used to pride that i'm not addicted to a farce of a show wherein everything from the sets to makeup is over the top.....guess, i'll have to kick myself!!

Shabbo atleast has portrayed diverse roles and if he were that bad he wouldnt be hounded by offers left right centre. Let's not forget your Panchi is a show old wheras Shabbir has proved his mettle since the day he stepped in Kyunki if he were that bad Ekta wouldn't have ever seen his face again. It's your loss if you never cared to watch him propely focusing on Prerna or anyone else but the fact that Shabbir is a brilliant actor cannot be overlooked. Even Jay tries to learn acting from him as he himself said in an interview that he loves the way Shabbir brings innovation in each scene.

I completely agree with u munee...Shabir is just the best 👍🏼

i havent seen the acting since the leap, but im pretty sure panchi's acting would have dropped down a few notches.

An actor's performance is definitely enhanced by their costar's capabilities, but doesn't DEPEND on them! Panchi is still getting used to her new colleagues, and will take some time to get back into the groove

Personally I think the difference was in the seriousness (not sure if that's the right word). For me Shabbir, even though feeew times could have been better, seemed very serious and had tried his best. While Panchi, sometimes I could see her trying to stifle her laugh in very serious scenes (I remember Shabbir cracked only once, and that was when Ritwik made him laugh outside the script when they had flashback scene in a car. Still it's quite okay since it was a happy, care free scene). One that was very obvious was the scene on 30-31st July, where Milind got drunk and entered their room, and he fell and Prachi tried to hold him from falling but he refused. Shabbir looked dead serious with the drunk act, and during choosing the pink shirt, but I could see that Panchi just wanted to laugh. I remember some other serious scenes with Shabbir where Panchi looked like that. I guess Milind's evil smirk was too funny for Panchi.

Anyway I think both are very good actors, and when Panchi managed to get super serious I think she's convincing in her acts. Perhaps she needs a more strict, demanding director to push her to her best, while Shabbir doesn't need it as much, because seems like he has the fire to excel within himself. At least that's my impression from watching them.
