The movie and her character portrayed the evil and truth of the society. She played a mature woman who feels strongly for issues concerning the society.
She played a person who was kind of a misfit for her field of work, a person who is searching for her call in life and the various stages and instances where she comes across the ugly face of the world that seems so beautiful and perfect from the outside
Kangana Ranaut: yet another actor to do the unthinkable. She stepped into the industry with a role that would not excite or interest new comers in the industry. She played a bar dancer who falls in love with a gangster in the film Gangster.
Kangana's character in the movie betrays Shiney for her new love Emraan Hashmi and ends her life committing suicide.
Kangana was awarded for her excellent performance in the same year and was stated as the most promising actress of the year.
it is impossible to talk of hatke roles and miss out on Rani Mukherjee's performance in Black.
No sight, no sound, no words to speak, it was one role that would require tremendous efforts to pull it off. But Rani took the challenge and came out triumphant. Rani played the character of a girl who suffocates in the void of her inner world and is like an animal.
