Finally somebody has gathered enough guts to even try and recreate the Amitabh-Jaya chemistry in a remake of their hit film Abhimaan. And it's none other than their own son and daughter-in-law, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai. The star couple will be seen in a Rajeev Menon film which has been inspired by this Hrishikesh Mukherjee classic, next year.
The film which will have Abhishek and Ash play singers like the former Amitabh Bachchan - Jaya Bachchan movie, will go on the floors in February 2009, reports a daily. The movie to be directed by Rajeev Menon will have music created by AR Rahman.
When contacted Rajeev Menon too confirmed the same, saying, "Yes, it is true that I am making a film with Abhishek and Aishwarya. I will be starting the film in February and AR Rahman has composed the music."
When asked about the plot of the film, the director suddenly claimed he was busy and excused himself from the telephonic conversation. That however does not confirm that the film is NOT a remake of the Amitabh-Jaya classic. If anything, it only reaffirms our belief in the same.
