Aversion is evidently the flip side of attraction. We've heard that Salman Khan is averse to the word 'rai'. According to industry insiders, there's standard instruction from Sallu to the Dus Ka Dum team that when he has to say 'rai' (opinion), the teleprompter should not spell it as r-a-i.
According to our source, "The word 'rai' forms a part of every question Salman Khan asks his guests on the show. For example, "Aapki rai mein kitne pratishat Bharatiya sochte hain ki…? (In your opinion, what percentage of Indians think that…") In such cases, the person operating the teleprompter has to spell rai as raye, rye, or even Raai."
In fact, after his spat with Shah Rukh Khan which was allegedly triggered off by the latter's comments on Aishwarya Rai, the actor seems to have done away with the word from his show altogether. Recently, in the special episode with Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif, the actor did not use the word 'rai' at all.
When we contacted Anita Basu, producer of the show, said, "I don't think any spelling is deliberately changed for Salman Khan, on the teleprompter. Anyway, he reads the questions on the teleprompter just before his take.
