Face of Reality!

Nach Baliye being a reality show has really changed my impression of many actors. for eg.. manini, shilpa, varun, rajiv, archana to name few.

what i mean to say is... before nach baliye i used to really like shilpa. i mean she was this sweet girl next door kind of. but not after cing her on NB i feel she is bossy kindda, making weirdo faces and trying to be kiddish. whereas i never used to like manini (since jassi). i know that was bcoz of her role in tat serial. but the way she looks too. it seemed too rash to me. but after NB my impression has changed and i feel she is just like anyother simple girl with her dreams and straight mind. also her gentle and caring side came forward.

Same abt varun, i thought he was some kind of really serious person but after cing his joke timimgs i really like him though at times he seems shrude. and Rajiv..hell i hate him more and more with every episode. he is wat you call in mumbai hindi..pakav. his stupid jokes makes no one but only himself laugh( when he jokes, delnaaz's face expressions say "hell No! Stop it!")

Even archana i really felt from the roles she is been doing in kuch kuchHT and mohabatien ke she is a third grade actress but after cing this show, i see a smart lady with good husband.

Even amit showed his asli color. tried to act as he is bichara but never mind he came up with his own will. y does he have to mention in his every interview tat he has lived a life of beggar or how many times does he have sex with neeru. wat does he want to prove.

while some actors like supriya, apurva, manish, poonam, parmeet are same wat you think of them like. its strange. do these actors act different or is it bcoz of roles they do tat they create particular impression.

but this reality show is taking the mask off every face.

love reality shows. we shud have more reality shows on TV.

hmmm...interesting thought picasa. i have to admit that the show has somehow shown a human side of these stars by giving us a peek into thier personal lives otherwise kept under tight wraps. it is interesting to watch how they react under pressure and stress and how thier marraiges are working offscreen.this was a golden opportunity for all these stars to connect to the viewers on personal level and not through thier onscreen work. some stars have lost a bit of thier shine , while others have glowed.while i still have my doubts about how genuine thier real life was(these are astute ,seasoned actors knowing that camera is following thier every move), however not everything could be faked.
archana/parmeet came across as tapori type sunny couple whose vivacity and fun spirit really came through on screen(years back there was a big scandal when they married and most people thought thier marraige won't survive. they were also in news for thier livein relationship, sudden marraige and age difference which was against the social norm at the time). it was a joy to watch them interact with thier kids.

varun/rajeshwari came across very hardworking and sincere couple who seem to have very good understanding. it also showed that the couple were quite traditional in some ways and practical.varun has been quite candid through out the show.

sachin/supriya are fun to watch .they are so in sync with each other that it is surprising.the funniest part of thier memories was when sachin mentioned how supriya scolds him when she is sleeping.(apparently she talks when she sleeps)

manini and mihir seemed to care for each other genuinely(manini was so concerned about mihir's back that she was ready to be ousted from the show), a surprise given thier tarot induced whirlwind marraige.

rohit and mansi seemed to support each other through all the twists . also thier grace and dignity was exemplary

poonam and manish are very comfortable with each other and both are focused on thier kid at the moment

delu and rajiv have naram/garam kind of relationship.sometimes they frustate each other and later pacify them (like any other couple). also rajiv is quite talkitive and is always cracking jokes 😆 and delu is like"here he goes again 😕 "

amit and neeru were too focused on thier love than other aspects of thier life(ahhh...!!!...the miracle of love....it makes you forget everything). however on negative side amit came across as a shameless braggard(some aspects of life are best kept private). also his obsession with biology on the show was embarrasing at times(and i consider myself no prude). however given that they are anxiously waiting thier nupitals all is forgiven(all that excitement and hot flushes are normal i guess 😳 ).

the losers on the show however have been apoorve and shilpa. i had heard so much about them in print that i expected a very harmonious couple but they came across as a couple with issues , who were trying too hard. someone should tell them that most couples unbelievably in love have hard time adjusting in initial years of marraige so it is alright to be imperfect at times. they complement each other wonderfully(apoorve is quite and shy , shilpa is bold and outspoken). however they seemed to emphasise too much on looks(made them seem vain), striking romantic poses(seemed cheap). when apoorve asked shilpa to forgive him on small screen and said that he was right to marry shilpa inspite of opinions to contrary....it came out looking as if the couple had issues instead of looking sweet(as was intended) and as if in past ,couple had contemplated if they made mistake in marrying(let people say what they want, you hold on to each other).i wish they had done a better work on the show.

Can I say something without getting into trouble?? Both of you gave a wonderful analysis of the Nach Baliye couples. In fact if we didn't know anything about these couple, we sure so now!! Wonderful job!!! 👏 👏 👏

It is actually good to know that it wasn't just me who thought that some of these couples weren't given due credit when deserved while others were put up on pedastals for no apparent reason. 😛 😛

I really liked ur analysis and my reaction towards almost all couples were the same as u have written, its like u both have given words to my reaction and what i felt when i looking at them.
One thing that i also want to mention is about two couples specificly I never use to like, raajeshwari before nb but after watching human side of her the dedication towards her work and warm relationship between both husband and wife my view point for her has changed, they are not showing off but the respect and feelings that they have for each other u can feel and see it(its amazing 👏 ). Similarly archana and parmeet i had altogether different view about them but they come across as very lovable, strong and made for each other couple. As sachin and supriya no words they are just too good(i will run out of pages if write about them). And for apu and shilpa 😡 i cant write better than what pj04 has written, a very candid and true picture.

now,i agree with u. these reality shows really give us the chance to know the contestants better.these give us the chance to know wht they are in reality.

But I cant get over the fact that this is the famous jprasad... not crying over Armaan Sirs exit from the show... 😆

yeah.

everyone isnt as they appear onscreen,
at least on tv.
manini isnt bad, shilpa is not that good at all,
varun isnt that serious, rajeswari nott hat sporty.

some though remain as they are, like apurva, mihir
and parmeet,rohit etc.

I don't think we should look at tv actors or celebs with any expectations...they are only human after all, and they are "performing" (to some extent) on this show as well...
