Surprise!
"Preet...tumhe pata hai ki prem kahan hai?" Heer asked her devar softly with her eyes watching his face keenly for a hint. Preet looked up from his phone and shook his head...not meeting her eyes. "Nahin bhabhi...mujhe toh kuch bhi nahin pata". Saying this he walked out of the room quickly, trying to look as nonsuspicious as possible. She watched him walk out...noticing the way his eyes had not dared to meet hers. "Iska matlab preet janta hai ki prem kahan hai...lekin yeh mujhe kuch bata kyun nahin raha!" her voice was in a whisper, sounding so tired and hurt. She thought back to this morning when she had woken up to see Prem dressed up and talking on the phone to someone. His words still rang through her ears, "yes don't worry i'll be there...yes in 15 minutes...okay thanks and one more thing don't tell anyone about it!" She wondered who he was talking to...he had left the room without looking at her once. She sighed and walked to the garden in the back. Hours passed by and she spent the entire time in the garden alone...only her and her thoughts. Nobody had wished her...it was her and Prem's anniversary yet no body showed any sign of remembering. "Di!!!" she turned around and saw Suki walking towards her. "Di aap yahan kya kar rahi ho? Come on you have to come with me to go shopping!" Heer looked at her sister confused...shopping? "Suki lekin tujhe shopping kyun jana hai?" Sukriti shook her head and pulled her up and out of the house...where everyone was watching with a grin. The two sisters spent hours shopping for some unknown event. Suki forced Heer to buy a beatiful deep red sari with golden lines and sequences on it. Both sisters entered the house with smiles and looked at the decorations. Suki with a knowing grin and Heer with a confused look. "Arre aagayi tum dono," Gayetri said walking to them as all the guests looked at them with smiles. "Ma yeh sab kuch..." Heer started to say but was cut off by Suki, "Di chalo lets go and change!" Everybody watched as she dragged her still confused sister up the stairs. Twenty minutes later Heer was led down dressed in her sari by Suki. There was a big cake in the middle of the floor, on it in cursive was "Happy Anniversary!!". Everyone surrounded Heer and wished her, but her eyes were only searching for him. She nodded to the lady talking to her without hearing what she was saying. She didn't even notice when the lady left her alone and she was still nodding her head. "Who are you nodding at?" she heard his voice say...husky and soft...she shivered as his breath tickled the back of her neck. She turned around but no one was there...she tilted her head confused and turned back...finally noticing that she was alone. She smacked her forehead lightly and smiled guiltily at her getting lost in his thoughts. She turned to the side to walk off and bumped into someone...her eyes closed automatically as she fell backwards. She felt arms wrap themselves around her back, electric currents ran down her back at the feel of his hands at her bare back. She knew it was Prem that was holding her safely in his arms...opening her eyes she confirmed it as she watched him smirk at her with a glint in his eyes. He pulled her up and her head fell to rest on his chest as her hands gripped his shoulders tightly. Both became lost in the others eyes as everyone watches them laughing and smiling at their cuteness. Suki walked upto them and snapped her fingers in front of their faces...no reaction. She rolled her eyes and left them alone to stay in their dreamland. Heer blinked and looked away with a sweet smile on her face and turned to walk away. Prem watched her talk to a lady...he could see the way she would tilt her head slightly to look at him. Heer looked to the side to see him again but he wasn't there. "Excuse me" she told the lady and walked around the room looking for Prem...she couldn't deal being away from him...it was as if her soul had been snatched from her body. Music started in the background and she saw Prem walking towards her with a smile. He held his hand out for her and she of course accepted. They started dancing to the slighlty fast track and some other couples joined in. Prem started singing in her ear making her giggle as his breath tickled her. Everyone was having a blast and it could be seen on their faces.

The song came to and end and everybody applauded at their performance. "Wow guys you both were awesome...though i really thought you would perform some slow song!" Preet said clapping his brother on the shoulder. The couple smiled at him slightly shocked themselves at their dancing. "Heer!!" Gayetri called out making her leave Prem's hand and walk towards her mother-in-law. Gayetri introduced her to some old ladies...she didn't realize that Heer just wanted to be with her husband. Until it was time to cut the cake, Heer and Prem had to spend their time away from one another. Heer was holding the knife while Prem held her hand and they cut the cake as everyone cheered for them. The rest of the night went by really fast as the two spent their time laughing and dancing...happy with being close to one another.
