There was a short silence.
"Anywayz when you going back?"He asked turning towards me.
"In 5 and a half months cant wait me and my sisters have 6 months holiday ",I replied.
"Why dont you like it here".
"No its just them lot they are quite embarrassing".
"Like yesterday ",He smiled.
"Yup Like yesterday",I continued gigling.
"Well to be honest your lucky",he replied.
"Lucky?"
"yeah my parents are a only child from both sides and so am I so I really dont have any cousins or siblings",He said looking at me.
"Oh",I frowned.
"Well then its all up to your marriage",I joked.

"Yup the topic of yesterday for my parents",He smiled.

We both giggled, The more I spoke to him is the more I started to like him.
"Its ok you should meet my parents, they can be so embarrasing like when I was 13 my friend rang my house phone my mum picked up and had a long conversation with her about me and how my behaviour at school was.I couldnt face her at school afterwards."I said.

"REALLY thats kind of funny",He gigled.

"No its not",I replied.

"So what are you studying for ?",I asked trying to change the topic.

"Lawyer...you?",he asked.

"Urmm..teacher",I smiled.

"Why a teacher?"He asked.

"I love children they are so cute and they are innocent...why lawyer?"I asked

"Because my dad wanted to help people with troubles by being a lawyer and he couldnt so I want to achieve what he couldnt do to make him happy",he replied.

"Thats sweet",I smiled

I started to feel like i knew him for a long time and felt normal around him he was really funny and sweet what a bonus.

We continued talking about randomn stuff I really got to know him he was so sweet and caring.I didnt want the conversatin to end.

"Hallo I m back sorry we took long it was a long queue",Kavitha said smiling.

I didnt care what she thought I didnt care what anybody thought.

We all got home,

"Well sweeties your stayin at our house now its our turn to have you lot around",Aunty Nira smiled.

We got all our bags and went over to there house.

The next two months was really great Surya his mates and some girls came over reguarly to organise a party and practise for a talent show.My aunty Nira was responsible.They came to my aunts house and me and my sisters watched The event was in a week and everyone was practicing. Surya didnt really take part he just watched with us, sometimes I would be in the living room and he would come and talk to me.I started to like him more and more.The girls really hated me for some reason,each time I went past them they would either call me slut or give me dirty looks.

It was Monday afternoon I sat outside in the garden on the phone to one of my best mate Joan when Surya and his mates came outside.

"Oi Surya your girllfriends there",One of his mates yelled.

I looked at him and turned around talkin on the phone louder.

Surya just stood there trying to not to get embarrassed.

I sat there not listening.

"Hey", someone said sitting down next to me.

"Joan call me back in 10 minutes no actually i will call you back yeah bye luv ya".I said put my mobile down.

"Hi". Replied

Surya and his mates sat down in the corner,

"Can I sit down?"it was Abhishek.

"Ok ",I said trying not to care.

"Ok well look Im going to get straight to the topic, well I dont know if you know this but theres a rumour saying that you and Surya like each other".

I didnt reply I sat there pretending I dont care.

"Well theres something you need know I am his best friend and your my cousin ",he explained.

"Ok",I replied.

"Well the truth is he isnt the person you think he is look your my cousin and i love you to bits no matter what I will never lie to you",he whispered.

I didnt say anything.

"Look hes really playing with you feelings he dont like you your just another girl ok",he said trying not to raise his voice.

I felt like crying tears rushed into my eyes I didnt know what to do.Was he lying?

"What?"

"I wanted to tell you before you did anything you regret, its up to you if you believe me or not".He stood up and went towards Surya.

I ran upstairs and started to cry.What if Abhishek was telling the truth. I sat down ,I didnt know what to do Abhishek never lies .

They all went home,I had dinner and went to bed I didnt really talk much.

A week went by nothing really happened, I started to stop talking to Surya I didnt even smile.

The phone rang early Monday morning, I sat up my bed where aunty Nita was coming on with the phone.

"Hello sweetie your mums on the phone shes got good news", She said very excited.

She handed me the phone.

"Hello Shalini got good news for you".

"Hi mum".

"Well we have got you a handsome young man for you".

"What".

"Yeah Aarun he really likes you ,you two always get along I cant believe I never thought of it, anyways his mum asked. I said I would love to but let me ask you just in case you didnt feel the way the same way, SO do you?You dont need to tell me now you can tell me whenever."

"Mum I think...".

"No no you dont need to tell me now tell me later think it through,"she said not letting me finish.

"Ok",I said quietly.

"I dont want you to rush this through its your life whatever you want makes me happy,I personally think that Aarun would be perfect".

"Yeah mum can I speak to dad?"I asked trying to change the conversation.

"Oh sorry sweetie hes in the shower look I will call you back tomorrow give the phone to your sisters please".She replied.

I gave the phone to my sisters, got changed and went downstairs.

"Your mum seemed so happy on the phone",Aunty Nira

"Yeah",I replied drinking the tea.

"If this marriage does happen then your mum would be over the moon",She smiled.

I didnt really like Aarun he was a mate,but I really wanted to show Surya that I didnt like him but I loved him so much.I couldnt really imagine a life without him, but i needed to move on for my family.

The door bell rang ,I opened the door it was Abhishek.

"Hi",He smiled.

"Hi",I replied

"Look I need to talk to you",he continued.

"Ok go on",I replied.

"Surya likes you ok look I said all these stuff I know but he keeps asking me why you dont talk to him or smile he really likes you. All those things i said was a lie, to put you off."

"Why would you do that?"

I couldnt believe it, Abhishek lied how could he.I couldnt believe it that Surya likes me.I tried to act as if I didnt care.

"Because I just thought if you two got together maybe he wouldnt talk to me".

"What one of the reasons I like him is because he gets along with you lot why would I ruin that?".

"So you do like him?"

I didnt say anything.

"Ok we need be at the park in half an hour ,Surya wants to meet you there."He explained.
