I agree with you on that!
Thanx for sharing. Kishore Kumar will always remain as one of my fave singers. His songs are eternal.

He he he........that is an extensive but lovely collection, Kishore da was a genius and geniuses aren't born every day. Some of the songs which came in name of SD and RD Burman were actually his creation like kuch to log kahenge, roop tera mastana etc..

Eh? Marlon Brando didn't appear in movies until the 50's. Chaim Topol was born in 1935 and the original Broadway production of FotR opened in 1964.

Clearly some enthusiastic writer went completely overboard here.

Good observation. Actually - even the writers now a days hardly give much thought into what they are writing these days!

He did learn classical on late 70s didn't he...??
But he was uncomfortable with alaap , sargam etc like the one in pag ghunghroo bandh meera nachi thi (Namakhalal) the sargam in first interlude has been done by Manna Dey.
Manna da didn't agree initially during recording of ek chatur naar (padosan) that he will have to loose to Kishore saying this guy is terrible in classical, but agreed later on some how.

Most geniuses are often eccentric ; perhaps we sometimes label them so because we do not understand. some like to behave weird to stop others from intruding into their privacy.
