Dear Friends,

On 4th of April,2006 the first show of Retro Cafe dedicated to RD Burman was aired on IF Radio. A new concept on old musical treasure, unsure of member's response, but with a hope that it would appease the musical taste buds of listeners, the show rolled out. It seems just yesterday that it took its first unsteady steps! We have come a long way since then! On 13th August, we will be airing the 100th episode!!!!

When the first show turned into the second one and then into the next one Retro lovers lost track. All we waited for was the Wednesday nights, so that that we can listen to yet another Retro Cafe treat on another new theme!

On the 13th of August we will be airing the 100th Retro Cafe episode!!!! So don't you think we should celebrate the centenary week in style and make the experience truly memorable? Yes, you got it right!

Retro lovers, brace yourself for exciting weeks ahead. For the Retro Podcast team promises to bring you plenty of treats and activities to keep you busy this coming week! There will be fun, music and surprises galore!!

Many of you are ardent Retro Cafe fans, while some of you may be totally oblivious to it and some may not be as interested. This week as we inch towards the 100th episode we would like to know about your Retro Cafe experience. Please do tell us :

Which episodes were your favorites?
What can we do to make the show better ?
How can we reach out to more members and welcome them into our Retro family

Congrats to retro 👏 This has so far been a very memorable journey... I have enjoyed every bit of it 😊 I even now remember the way we used to spam SRGMP section with posts advertising retro 😆 And now when seeing that it has reached a big milestone, really feel happy about it!! 👍🏼

How sad I will be missing the 100th episode 😭....but plese miss me my retro friends.I love listening to retro.As i earlier said it is like going to a movie theatre where u meet all ur wonderful friends to enjoy good music.Its a two in one where we meet and chat and listen to music.

Most of the episodes are good and we enjoyed them.

i wish it was more interactive in the sense some of us can also say a few words and would love to hear them talk in between a couple of songs.

People are not aware I guess and u have to market the concept more.

Good luck for the 100th episode and I congratulate Barnali and Anu for the constant hard work they put in.Last but not the least to all the retro listeners ....without the prekshak...retro will not be there.

Yes, Since i have joined retro, my stay in retro has been wonderful

Which episodes were your favorites?

Almost all episode which i have been part of retro

What can we do to make the show better ?

I love the way show is😃..I have to take care of timing..aways clash with serials

How can we reach out to more members and welcome them into our Retro family

Congratssssssssssss to the Retro Cafe!!! 🤗 It has been a great journey so far, and although I'm not as active as I used to be in the posts, I still listen to the Retros, and it will always remain close to my heart.. in fact, sometimes I just put the IF Radio and usually Retro is playing so i'll just listen to it 😳😆

Anol was the biggest spammer then. 😆 But yes I remember the retro members even faced flak from members for spamming SRGMP normal discussion threads. 😆 Finally we decided to go with the same in our siggy.

Congrats everyone. All together could actually make this successful, be it retro team members or the listeners. Thanks to Vijay Bhai for giving us this platform to enjoy these golden oldies.
